Fortunately, North America doesn't have the problem of relying on cable or dish TV too much. I'm glad our e-sports made a big internet streaming scene above any other media.

Why don't terrans actually do a banshee build after they destroy the extractor? Is the delayed gas harvesting such a great setback? Uh, I never assume Terran isn't going banshees after stealing their gas. I know they can't rush cloak and a banshee but I still get an evo chamber and have spores on the ready when I scout at the same time as I would without the gas steal.

Diddn;t realize Toss had beefier assimilators either- that doesnt seem to make that much sense. Perhaps at one point Bliz felt that Terran could more easily drop Toss and feared the sniping of the gas Also I found it interesting Morrow chooses to play Terran versus July. I understand Morrow had an 80% win rate as Terran earlier on, but in my opinion one race is always going to be significantly better than another. Personally I wasn't impressed with his terran, and didn;t understand why he just didn't ZvZ, since July this is arguably July's weakest match up

Now some disclaimery stuff. I hope this post isn't considered spammy or anything, because I genuinely think some people in the community here will appreciate this video. I present it here rather than it's own topic mostly because I am unsure if it's an appropriate standalone topic. That and I registered yesterday and the forum won't let me, lol. I won't include project details here unless someone is interested and asks. Also would appreciate input as to whether this would be an appropriate post as its own topic. This project was completely personal and I don't stand to gain any benefits from views other than the satisfaction that people like the video!

Crying imba. Keep up the (I mean start) all in//mass banshee! I was going ling bling muta anyway and I need more ladder points. Calm down the ego, bro, I know your race requires a lot of skill and you are maybe thinking yourself for a very good player, but just listen to me. First, tell me what from what I said was wrong? You sound like you know a lot about the game. Thanks for clearing some obvious things, but next time I don't need your help ![]() The thing is, terran is forced to do more cheesy stuff and end the game pretty quickly vs zerg, because, season 2 maps are more favored to zerg, and it is difficult to keep zerg not overexpanding all around the map. Infestors mean drops are getting denied more easily. Marine kiting too. And ghosts are not that easy to control for EMPing the infestors at all. Here's a usual ladder TvZ: Zerg goes for a fast expand. Terran opens 2 rax, makes a push which zerg has perfectly learned how to deflect. Terran expands, gets some siege tanks. In the mean time zerg drones the shit out of him and techs to lair. Then terran makes a second, marine-tank push. Again denied by mutas and lings. Then terran tries to muster up a poultry army from his 2 bases to defend and barely holds on to a third base. Zerg has already 5 expos down, hive tech, full map control and all the ways of harrassing the terran. Now there are two ways of how the game ends: First, zerg underestimates the terran, lets him max, and doesn't harrass him. At the critical engagement, gets caught at a choke or just gives a-move to his army and loses. Second, he constantly trades armies and harrasses the terran. Eventually the terran player gets overrun and zerg wins. Yeah, zerg is more dificult to play, but much more dominant than terran when mastered. Infestors are a serious issue for late game TvZ. You can't deny that. At all levels of play. Simple example: Destiny, who even doesn't consider himself a serious progamer, successfuly owned a lot of terrans just by using infestor ling. I just don't enjoy 3 raxing or thor/banshee rushing zerg every single game, even if I win. But I know if I let the zerg unchecked and teching, I have a little chance of winning. And I haven't said zerg is OP or something like that. Just pointed out infestors are a powerful caster and even with ghosts, are not so easy to counter.

I rewatched the Old Boy series featuring Nal_ra and saw him in the qualifiers along with IM_MVP and it got me thinking what he has been doing. His wiki page in liquidpedia only goes up to 2007 and leaves a relatively huge gap between 2007 and when he formed the team.

However if you leave a Zerg player untouched for a long period of time you'll end up with a result like my last game. A ZvP on Typhon Peaks that a Protoss traded no harassment for an earlier expansion and death ball. The result was a 2 base P verse a cross position 5 base Zerg with twice as many workers and a 50 supply lead with sorely lacking defense against harassment. If Zerg had literally pooled 1000 m 1500 g after getting a lair, infestation pit and pathogen glands then stockpiled 2500 resources then I am very confident you didn't harass enough or the timing of this was late mid game or true late game. If you were on the NA server I'd be glad to practice with you and help you find the weak timings to infestors. Infestors are great. Cloaked ghosts counter the hell out of them. Don't take it up with me, practice like a champ. On July 12 2011 10:04 Omegalisk wrote: Quick question guys, and I'm sorry if this is really dumb, but is the July GSL worth the $10? I haven't subscribed to GSL before (mostly I just watch free streams, such as those for MLG and NASL), and I would mostly be watching VODs. Is it worth it? I buy every damn GSL. I'd say it's worth it however, The Code A finals will be the first Code A PvP ever (Which should be interesting at that high of a level!) and the Code S semi final brackets look sick. I'll be staying up all night just to watch them (Go IMZerg!) And no, it's shrewd not dumb ![]()

I downloaded the 1.3.5 PTR and tried to see if anything balance wise was changed. It wouldn't let me play on multiplayer mode (crossing fingers for tomorrow), but as far as I can tell the only change really is the Hellion blue flame icon now has a blue flame. This must mean that Blizz is fairly confident that the game is balanced
