I was watching bw replays from tsl 2 ladder packs when I saw iNcontroL play a terran player called Drewbie. It was high in the tsl ladder so I have to imagine it was at least a B/B+ level game. Would that be the Drewbie? It occured to me I have no clue about his pre-sc2 background. TT

I randomly thought to look for a new headset but found the reviews for the Banshee are mostly negative >.< (headset breaking within a month of normal use, etc). What headsets are the players using? I'm not even sure if they "use" the headsets per-se. Every GSL player i've seen uses earbuds of some variety for their audio, and those headphones are there just to look good and promote the razer sponsorship.

Post some replays, I'll be glad to see this all-in denied, especially after + Show Spoiler + Foxer and Polt did it successfuly vs respectively Time and TT1 P.S. I'm becoming a big fan of timings and all-ins. Low masters. You just never expand untill you crush the push, get ful saturation on your 1 base and pump units from 4 gates and robo. You need like 40% zealots, 40% stalkers, 20% sentrys from gateways and as many immortals as you can possibly get. Then pick a good spot to engage and possibly flank him to minimize tank demage. If he moves forward with marines, you need to FF behind them to trap them and kill them with gateway units while trying to attack tanks with imortals. You should aim to kill marines and tanks asap. If he pulls scv's it's even more important to flank him so they don't have a chance to protect tanks. Also i have constant scouting information from probe - fast stalker - fast obesrver which is very very helpful because you know exactly when and with how many units he moves out. Remember to keep some stalkers near your mineral line to defend from banshees and dont go too heavy on sentries too early because banshees will snipe them. Make 1:1 stalker to sentry untill you have enaugh sentries then make like 1:2 stalker to zealot. There are other ways to stop or even prevent this push (phenix, fast dt), but this is the safest in my opinion.

I thought of chargelots with +1 armor, but you will not have enough resources to dump both into TC and RF, fast range upgraded collosus will mean you will have little stalker support and going air will also limit your gas for the sentries. I wonder if a variation of this all-in, "the marine/thor/banshee all-in" will be better. I mean, a lot of players will go immortals to snipe the tanks, other will go more sentries, the thor is repaired faster, does better then tanks vs immortals and breaks forcefields (also 2 tanks cost 350 gas with the siege mode, the thor costs 300 with the armory, so you won't be gas starved). It will also negate any phoenix harass to the banshees. Thor is just so good with marine support.

I wonder if a variation of this all-in, "the marine/thor/banshee all-in" will be better. It will also negate any phoenix harass to the banshees. Thor is just so good with marine support. The solution to this is to put stargate down as soon as you see armory on 1 base terran (or second factory). Voidrays counter thors, banshee and raven while your gateway units (mostly zealots) don't have to waste their dps on thor and can kill marines (without being smashed by tanks at the same time). Also if you open with robo you are going to have zealot/immortal/voidray force that is not affected by pdd. Only problem is breaking FF's for marines to kite you, but you can overcome it with flanking, since again it's huge a-move 1 base push and his army movement is easly predictable.

I can get the best unit composition in the world against it and still loose because zerg will never engage my army and will win base trade with more expansions. And taking third requires you to have army bigger than zerg because he can attack from every angle and always run away. And cannons put you even more behind because he's just mass expanding behind it and if you move out even with full wallin's zerglings will take it down before your army retreats, and you just lost building are are pinned to your base to defend it because he can do it again. Seriously i've had zealot/blinkstaler/archon/HT with storm and phenix army and lost to muta/ling because he never engaged and just won in baserace with his 5 bases to my 3. In addition you need to be reactive, which is much harder for multitasking than being active with counter attacks which messes with your gameplan. I've never actually seen pro protoss player win agaisnt this style on maps like BWG. And even if i scout spire going up after i 3g exp i can't transition to 6-7 gate allin, because i already made too much probes and 6+ spines with lings will defend it, because i can't go heavy zealot if mutas are about to come out. What do i do? Cannon my quarter of the map (zerg can take more than half with this style) and wait untill they make stupid mistake and i kill all his mutas with lucky storm and then move out? I've tried so many solutions, but none of them work against someone who isn't a moron rushing for mutas without any units to defend his investment.

(smack!) *nodnodnod* +1 XD In my last ladder game, TVT on Xel'naga , I pushed with marines and tanks at the EXACT same time as he was dropping in my main. Basically, our two attacks started at the exact same time, but he was able to fly his CC off, while mine got off'ed. I gg'd, but I'm just wondering, what's the point of no return? Obviously, when I'm pushing, my base is extremely vulnerable to drops or harass, so how would you deal with this dilemma? On July 18 2011 08:49 Deadpoetic0077 wrote: Hey TL community! Then, ghosts so he doesn't set off multiple storms over your army. You can also try spreading your forces beforehand into some sort of spread formation if you know there's HT's, so they aren't bunched together.

You can also use small groups (1marauder+3marines) to stim forward and snipe templars.

Back in season one, I peaked at the top of my platinum division. At the time, I was only able to play using the trackpad on my laptop. Eventually I grew frustrated with my equipment situation and stopped playing. Recently, I bought a usb mouse and started playing around in the campaign again... to the point I've actually unlocked 100% of achievements for it. But I've found that without that super-convenient excuse for losing games, I'm scared of jumping into the multiplayer portion of the game. I guess what I'm asking is this: Is it a common thing for players to have such anxiety? How do you cope with it? Also... just out of sheer morbid curiosity, how much of a difference do you folk suppose it makes to play without a mouse?
