I am sure that col issue is not only major concern for steven atm. He is a father now and that means more responsibilities then he seems to be in his stream. Imo Everybody needs to steam stress out once for while and if you consider that he is playing sc2 like office work, it is not only about fun and stuff, but it also can cause stress and exhausting. It is surely unfortuate for both side that there was a misunderstanding from both side as i assume. I hope both sides learned lesson from it and make it better in future! About steven, I am sure that he is a mature man who welcomes fair conversation and want only best for all so i will continue to enjoy his stream. note: I DONT know any details to judge what happend between incontrol and all incidents mentioned in this thread, this is only my opinion who have been watching his stream for long time before he got into root. English isn't your first language, is it?
And that matters why?

An interesting development to say the least. I never thought Steven would be a good fit for CoL. ROOT was a smaller, player-run team that had relatively small amounts of obligations asked of its players. CoL is a rather large organization that has several corporate sponsors and i'm sure has a checklist of obligations for its players, which is true of most major sports or esports organizations. Anyone who watches Destiny often knows what his opinion of being part of that sort of team would be.
I'm slightly perturbed at the way CoL chose to write that announcement, they definitely spinned it in a negative way, while Destiny's response acknowledged his mistakes and was more neutral. Just my observations.

Used to love the back and forth between CatZ and Destiny, was hilarious.
Best of luck to him for the future though, he's sure to find a new home soon!
Destiny Hwaiting!!!
They're friends man i'm sure that he will still talk to all the root guys

Not honouring the terms of a contract is just the same as showing up to work and then sitting there all day doing nothing. You'll get fired! I'm not too bothered about this whole thing but I don't understand the rage directed towards complexity for doing right by themselves with a player who want honour their contract.
I totally agree with this, it was unprofessional of him to break the contract. However, its not like he was a critical aspect of the team. He had no standings there and really, complexity made a much bigger deal out of it than they should have. So he left, big deal. The question is, did he even start? Practically speaking of course.

Good luck to you Destiny! I hope that whatever you choose to do, team or no team, works out well for you.

Isn't totally surprising. Good luck Destiny; hope the change of direction/clarification goes well.

Good for steven ^_^ love seeing him do what he wants to, and watching him develop as a player and such. Keep up all the good work steven, love the stream, love what you do, so keep doing what you do :O

Good luck Destiny, you will be picked up by a team for sure. Just like IdrA, you cannot be ignored.
People do not realize that your stream is your "show" which is a comedy and entertainment stream and is to be viewed differently (obviously) than a competitive sporting event (ex: a shoutcast of MLG).

I can understand how Destiny may not fit in a team with alot of "responsibilities". For me personally it would take a solid wage before I would consider using all the equipment from their sponsors that I probably don´t like and waste time on boring PR stuff.

Good for Destiny. He doesn't need a team that censors or tries to change his personality. Fuck off complexity.

I don't really get why Destiny is so popular but I hope another team picks him up.

Didn't think Destiny would last long on complexity anyways, mostly because how he acts.

complexity had alot of great mannered people before the ROOT acquisition. I thought it was a pretty huge and obvious clash when this destiny guy got picked up. I'm a good friend with victor (antimage) and he's one of the coolest and well mannered guys I know.
Good move for coL.

Aww man... well Destiny, best of luck wherever you go! Though you may have done something wrong, you live and you learn! Destiny fighting

He's not good enough for international play. I don't even know if he's good enough for top NA play either anymore because there are so many good players now.

Here are my two cents:
Destiny clearly wasn't happy with the ROOT/coL deal-- that is, he would stay with a just a ROOT team if he had his druthers-- but he joined coL under the impression that, if he didn't, the deal would be all screwed up. That being said, when he neglected to honor the terms of his contract, coL had to release him from a business perspective. It's a weird situation, but coL will be just fine without him. They were fine before they acquired ROOT, and they'll be fine after dropping him. Destiny's going to be the person who really decides his own fate. If he keeps improving at the rate he has been, he'll get picked up by a pretty good team that, hopefully, he likes.
