So if I was him, and if Complexity was asking for things such as promotion during his stream and the like, or anything hindering doing what "he does".. then this sounds like a reasonable move for him, even as much shit as it is to break a contract.

I am sure that col issue is not only major concern for steven atm. He is a father now and that means more responsibilities then he seems to be in his stream. Imo Everybody needs to steam stress out once for while and if you consider that he is playing sc2 like office work, it is not only about fun and stuff, but it also can cause stress and exhausting. It is surely unfortuate for both side that there was a misunderstanding from both side as i assume. I hope both sides learned lesson from it and make it better in future! About steven, I am sure that he is a mature man who welcomes fair conversation and want only best for all so i will continue to enjoy his stream. note: I DONT know any details to judge what happend between incontrol and all incidents mentioned in this thread, this is only my opinion who have been watching his stream for long time before he got into root.

He used his free name change to change from Destiny to ROOTDestiny. So he has to wait for blizzard to allow purchased name changes ![]()

And honestly no tournament results doesn't mean he isn't a tournament quality player. SC2 is a ridiculously hard game to achieve consistent results in. It's completely understandable that a large portion of players on professional teams would often fail to get far in tournies simply due to luck. Destiny's certainly capable of taking games off of anyone out there. He's also generated so much more publicity from this entire incident now that I wouldn't be surprised if he walks off the better. He still has the resources to continue practicing with top tier players and he'll undoubtedly get picked up by another team eventually that would love to have a player as popular as him. Even better, another team isn't going to make the same mistake of expecting him to suddenly turn his stream around and begin censoring himself right after joining.

Basically there'd been talks of ROOT/Complexity merging for a while, to relieve stress from catz/drewbie, which is cool, it gives them more time to play, etc... One day, I got a message pretty much saying "hey, that contract is due tonight, you gotta sign it today". I pretty much had half a day to decide whether or not to sign, and it seemed like if I didn't sign, the deal would fall through for the rest of the team. I didn't want to mess up everyone's opportunities to move on with their career just because I felt uncomfortable, and there was nothing -too- objectionable in the contract, so I signed it. In the following days, I had more time to think about it, and the more I turned it over in my head, the more problems I found with the arrangement, and the more reasons I found not to be associated with a major business SC2 team, at least not at this moment in time. I talked a long time to Catz, and had a few words with Jason, and eventually settled on the conclusion that I wouldn't actually be joining. A completely respectable response right there others in the public eye or not should take notice. Putting the team before yourself and not simply signing a legally binding contract for the sake of it. I waited until Destiny made a response to say anything because I knew people would jump all over this like a fat kid on a Smartie/Cake (take your pick) with his "manners" on his stream. Best of luck to you in whatever you pursue moving forward Destiny ![]()

I find a little ironic thou that CoL management is "complaining" about behavior on Destiny's stream, while they have had pretty shady behaviors in the past by other members on their team. Like for example cheating while on the stream and trash-talking agaisnt other far succesful Pro-players at a personal level.

I'm not too bothered about this whole thing but I don't understand the rage directed towards complexity for doing right by themselves with a player who want honour their contract.
