While I've never heard Destiny bring race into the equation (and yes, I've heard the language on the stream), you've just injected it in for no apparent reason. I suggest you educate yourself a bit more on context as getting offended at his does a great disservice to those of us who've had the words used against them in a much more harmful manner. And best of luck to you "Fluffdaddy"... It is way off topic, but let me just say that the notion that it is okay to use racist or homophobic remarks because they are just words comes from a position of middle class white privilege. Its not racism to point that out, because it is true. In a nut shell, it is easy for someone who is not affected by the words they use because they never experience that hurt themselves. His poor rationalization of using such language comes from a place of privilege, because he is neither a minority or a homosexual, and most likely has never been raped. My post wasn't racially charged in the slightest. If you would like to understand more about white privilege, especially from the American Middle class, you may private message me. Otherwise, I am dropping it.

I was really happy to see him on complexity and it seemed like his training was going quite well. Nothing against Destiny or anything but Gositerran is actually MAD GOOD and has a great BW background and Artosis liked him from BW. Destiny however feels more like just another ladder player and it has been proven the latest MLG's where Destiny got knocked out in the open bracket pretty early both times. Sixjax claimed that they wanted to be the best sc2 team in the world, and Destiny wont contribute to that at all.

Otherwise, I am dropping it. You use "white" multiple times in your post to refer to members of a race. Do you realize that is a racial word? If I interpret your statement "the notion that it is okay to use racist or homophobic remarks because they are just words comes from a position of middle class white privilege" as you intend it I must assume you come from a position of "middle class white privilege". You comments strongly injure attempts to heal racial divides in you country, and also expose your own racially charge beliefs. Reconsider you thoughts.

Seriously: there are so few players right now that won very big tourneys. And what ? All the other players are shit and crap and all that stuff ? Why do you people (who are most likely not even in Masters) always only look at achievements ? I mean, look at guys like Incontrol, Select, Catz, ... those are great popular guys and the starcraft 2 community needs those type of guys. Do you blame every player in a football team not being the best and greatest player the world has ever seen ? No, what I personaly like are personalities. People who have an opinion and defend it. I will continue to watch destiny. He's entertaining, he's a realy good player with a lot of potential to become a great player. And I will continue supporting Catz, Drewbie and Minigun but not cheering for col (as there are a few members I don't realy like). And last but not least: what makes Idra so interesting ? sure, he's probably the best player in the west. But so many people know him for BM and his rivalries with certain other players. And that's what we (the fans) want to see. We want drama, we want rivalries, we want close games! (As I like to see in every sport I'm interested in)

I mean it's nice to have highly skilled practice partners, but hes on good terms with some higher level players from what I've seen, so I doubt they would deny him some games every now and then? And of course he earns a living from the stream revenue so he isn't depending on a team to fund his life. The only reason he needs a team I could think of would be for some extra security in case his stream starts losing viewers or something. Being on a team gives you greater access to practice partners on your team iirc.

I do think that CoL wasnt a proper fit for Destiny. I hope his former teammates who have joined up have success and that Destiny is able to find a team but right now I cant think of a good match for him.
