I think I was least pleased with the coL press release, which seemed one sided against Destiny, whereas a simple 'differing ideals, parting ways' statement would have been more beneficial to both parties and lessened the overall trolling and BM.

Its not racism to point that out, because it is true. In a nut shell, it is easy for someone who is not affected by the words they use because they never experience that hurt themselves. His poor rationalization of using such language comes from a place of privilege, because he is neither a minority or a homosexual, and most likely has never been raped. My post wasn't racially charged in the slightest. If you would like to understand more about white privilege, especially from the American Middle class, you may private message me. Otherwise, I am dropping it. No need to PM you, I'll say my piece and be done with it as well. "the notion that it is okay to use racist or homophobic remarks because they are just words comes from a position of middle class white privilege." Entertainers such as Jay-Z, Tupac, Eminem, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy and the list goes on and on, certainly do not hail from middle class white privilege. They use the word to entertain their audience, so has destiny. If it's your opinion he can't use it because he's white, well, welcome to racial discrimination friend. That's really all I have to say on the matter..

Some others might have buckled and given up on themselves to pretend to be something they arent. WP sir. it's quite funny how unpopular CoL has remained for like half a decade now ![]()

I have been watching destiny for a while now (like november or so) and he has improved greatly since the beginning. After being picked up by Root, Destiny learned a lot from Catz and the other Root members and as such he is now a "Good player" as opposed to a "fair player that gets his audience solely on his personality". I would like to see him start practicing with, and learning from the top tier Z players (Foreigners obv) and go from a good player to a tournament threat. While most of us wouldn't stand a chance against a top GM player in any setting, We would expect a pro player (which I would constitute destiny as a pro player) to win. I would imagine that Vile or Reign or VP or VT would be happy to have destiny on their roster, I don't know what team I would actually call a good fit. tl;dr Best of luck to both parties, hope to see great success all around.

There's really not much to see here. Parted ways and it's better for both sides. The OP seems a little douchy though.

new free agent on the market. quite the roster mix ups we've had the past couple weeks. do you think anyone will want to pick up destiny despite his popular out spoken personality? could it actually be hurting him instead of helping him? why do people think that Teams give a shit about personality... IdrA is going to be my prime example here. Everyone didn't like him and people were messaging scoots too "kick idra out of eg for being a asshole." Winning is all that matters and in that reguard destiny has a little ways to goo till a serious team will pick him up (which too me looks like hes fine with that) Best of luck to you destiny.

Did he make DIOR a lot of money and DIOR lost a big talent? Yeah Was what he said appropriate even outside of work? No I make money for my employer in my job. Can I shout racist remarks inside the workplace? No. Can I say it outside? No, I can't. Because of my career and professionalism, my actions are associated with something other than myself e.g. my company. Sooner or later, when you get into the real world and when money and sponsors and image are things you need to really consider, you realize it's not all about me, me ,me. Welcome to the real world.

Good on Steve for admitting to what he did, I'm a bit puzzled by Col's second paragraph, but it's not much of a big deal. Col didn't say anything specific, they could have said worse, but didn't. What gets me are the people in this thread talking crap. Destiny might not be a tournament winner, but he's been getting progressively better. This isn't a biased opinion, it's fact. Awhile back it was, "Destiny isn't even in GM, hasn't won any tournaments" etc, now it's "Destiny hasn't won any tournaments." He's gotten loads better, it seems he has really bad luck in tournaments, but I'm sure there will be a day he gets far and I can't wait to see the same people in this thread snarking it up some more. I don't think Destiny needs a team, really. It'd be cool to see him take one on, though.

He constantly makes racist jokes and makes fun of black people on top of all of his other completely ignorant rants he habitually goes on. I challenge any of his fans to take a look at him and objectively evaluate his character. He is an uneducated college dropout with an illegitimate child; moreover, he is a MUSIC MAJOR dropout. That makes him the equivalent of the demographic that he constantly berates (at the most) and uses racial epithets towards... assuming that you want to apply stereotypes like Destiny does. The only reason that anyone would be a fan of this ignorant hate monger is because they appreciate him for voicing their own closeted bigotry. Any team that would sign this embarrassment to the community is a disgrace. Good job on Complexity's part for putting a footprint on his ignorant hind quarters. Maybe this will have a positive affect on him and he will start actually raising his child. Personally, I find it hilarious that some people view him as a martyr for his own personal beliefs... no matter how misguided and unenlightened they may be. Any rational human being would discern his behavior as stubborn and immature. He openly admits to signing a contract under false pretenses and yet, somehow, people still support him. I wish I was alive centuries ago where a person's word and signature actually meant something. You mean the same time where you would have to say this to his face, and not hide behind the anonymity of an internet forum. I wish i was alive whenever people stop making baseless assumptions about someone's character and their beliefs off of petty details such as word choice.
