If I recall correctly, Steppes is the same size as Xel'Naga. It is the layout that caused the problems.

It's funny how one of the smallest maps(SoW) occasionally had very long games oO I especially remember those TLO vs Huk series!
Really like the look of the new maps, hope they don't disappoint when they come though!

I think blizzard just wants protoss and terran to always 2 base allin and games with zerg being decided one whether or not they can take a delayed 3rd. A 3rd is literally impossible for p and t on some of these maps.

Hey guys, I have a question regarding league promotion in Season 3. I'm currently in the platinum league. Theoretically speaking, would it be possible to jump from platinum in Season 2 to masters in Season 3 if my MMR is raised enough during the ladder-lock period? Does anyone know if one can be promoted into a league two tiers higher between seasons? Thanks.

But we got plat when that was the best you could get placed in and then just played like 8games or so.

i wont say the maps are terrible until there are 2-3 weeks online in ladder and different strategies has been tested.
but one thing is really conspicuous. why is every map a tank, drop and banshee heaven?! actually terran is good enough.
but maybe there are ways to counter all this which just arent figured out yet

To be fair, that's a legit advantage of the race - to be versatile on any terrain and cliffs (I mean fuck, Terran and Terrain share the same root). It comes by virtue of having ranged, but fragile units and being creative with building blocks.
However these maps take it to a whole another retarded level.

they're not as big as taldarim or terminus but they're at least much bigger than before, or at least the rush distances

This maps are absolute shit....why blizz can't work with GOM or ICCUP to make some normal maps?Like GSL ones or the big funky ICCUP ones.Zerg will have hard time in any matchups versus hidden pylons,tanks and omg blink stalkers good luck beating P with 7gate +2,or voidrays attacking your gas without any way to respond or banshee.Its like Lost Temple all over again haha.TvT will be fun because of how positioning will have even bigger effect on how wins or not.PvP good luck finding that pylon and i think the dude with good blink micro (HuK i'm lookin at you bro) will dominate this maps if they ever make it into tournament play.
