FXOSheth for Code-A position!![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/waoth.png) Epic Photoshop Skills! If anyone catched CSN's coverage of the Code-A qualifiers, our good friend TorcH spilled the beans on the exciting news!
FXOSheth, the man who recently brought us his extremely entertaining 25 hour charity marathon has been given a Code-A spot off the back of MLG, tying in perfectly with his teams visit to Korea. I personally was sad to hear it when he wouldn't be there for the qualifiers along with the rest of FXO, but upon hearing this news, i'm excited for our awesome manner US zerg once again!
Sheth fighting!!!!
If you want to hear it for yourself, once this link updates, it'll be near the end of it: http://www.justin.tv/cybersportsnetwork/b/288383449
A WORD FROM THE MAN HIMSELF!
I'm really really excited to be able to play in Code A! Going to be the hardest tournament I've played in and I will hopefully be near my peak after preparing in Korea for a while. I'll also be so nervous so that will counter my fairly good shape and make me play average; which is good! Code AAAAAAAAAA YEAAAAAAAAA :D
Another note regarding FXO and Code-A+ Show Spoiler +Unfortunately if you did not catch CSN's qualifier coverage, the rest of FXO were unable to qualify for Code-A, as FXOz and FXOqxc went furthest, to the third round I believe, whilst everyone else was sadly knocked out earlier.

I really hope this is true, Sheth is amazing.

torch did say this on the stream so hopefully it is!

John was there to confirm too, and since they both work for GOM, I think they'll/he'll be ok <3
|
Sheth is arguably the most in form player on FXO so it would be great if this was true.

very nice for sheth, definitely looking forward to see how he'll fare in code a. Too bad none of the other fxo guys managed to qualify for code a the proper way though.

so Sheth will play for two teams in GSTL?

Choya lost to Keen in the first round of code A last season so he completely fell out and had to qualify again.

They've only just got to Korea, and QXC got knocked out by Donraegou who is fucking baller. Apparently the games were sick, will be going up on Artosis' channel soon.

Oh I get it now. In that case I think it would be best if Sheth drew theWind, Rainbow, or *gulp* Jinro. (The way Jinro is playing lately he'll be knocked out of code A anyways so may as well sacrifice one foreigner to ensure Sheth gets through)

No, if Jinro gets a Terran or a Protoss he can get through. It's just his vZ that's been sucking.
I think TheWinD is definitely the easiest opponent for Sheth. TheWinD has never won a ZvZ.

Artosis said something like game 2 of qxc vs DongRaeGu being one of the most insane and close games ever, and I think it went for something like an hour game-time.
So if he had taken that game off DongRaeGu, he might have cheesed and won the next game, you never know. I think he would have lost to Hero, but if qxc had an easier bracket he definitely would have qualified.

lol, the basis for you saying he almost made it is that one of the maps in his 2-0 loss to a guy who never qualified either was close?
Which bracket do you think he would have "definitely" qualified from, considering players like Ace, Squirtle, Taeja etc. never even made the final of theirs?
There were probably 30 players better than qxc or Sheth there battling for 15 spots.

Im not too sure with this cuz in GSL March, it was a mixture around where there were qualifiers that fought qualifiers while in GSL May it was the 16 from last season that was paired against a qualifier and I can't seem to find any confirmation :p.

Congratz Sheth! Will he still be casting though?

Happy to see a foreign dude in there, hoping Sheth puts up a good showing and gets a good bracket.
Also, condolences to FXO qualifiers. I was f5'ing the LR thread and Artosis' twitter and it's a shame they missed out. That said, as people have mentioned, with very strong (potentially code S, or high tier Code A players) like DRG, Taeja, Ace, Ganzi, TheStC, Line and Yongwha failing, it's not exactly shameful that they didn't make it.
It's often been said that some current Code S players might not even be able to qualify as that's how harsh they are. Best of luck in the team league then FXO, and the next qualifiers should you remain as long.

Bomber didn't qualify in his first two tries.
Qualifying is indicative of skill.
Therefore, Bomber sucks.

Don't want to be mean, but what is Sheth doing in Code A? He is not good enough. He his a really nice person and better then me by far, but he is not Code A material. Not trying to say that he has taken my spot, for it is long until you see me anywhere out of bronze, and Sheth is one of the greatest players in US, BUT, US players are not so good. Sheth might go take the first round, but he is NOT good enough to actually participate. Hopefully, with some hardcore training Korean-style he could play in next Code A, but that's next and not this one. Remember, before you hate on me, Sheth is famous because he is nice in person and he has an awesome stream (witch I enjoy alot, thanks Sheth), not because he is Code A worthy.
TLDR: Sheth don't belong in Code A.
If you read, thanks for doing it.

It's because of his placing in the last MLG event, with the whole GSL/MLG partnership going on. If he wants to give it a go and take a spot in Code A, I'm behind him 100%. Sheth fighting!

I think he would have lost to Hero, but if qxc had an easier bracket he definitely would have qualified. lol, the basis for you saying he almost made it is that one of the maps in his 2-0 loss to a guy who never qualified either was close?Which bracket do you think he would have "definitely" qualified from, considering players like Ace, Squirtle, Taeja etc. never even made the final of theirs? There were probably 30 players better than qxc or Sheth there battling for 15 spots. Bomber didn't qualify in his first two tries. Qualifying is indicative of skill. Therefore, Bomber sucks.
Okay, I'm reading this comment for, like, the 5th time now and... nope, I still have no fucking clue how it relates to the post of mine you're quoting.

I think what he's trying to say is, even though DRG never qualified, it doesn't mean he isn't fantastic.. and as such QXC has nothing to be ashamed of after losing to an amazingly strong player.
I think..

I agree DRG is a fantastic player and that there's no shame in losing to him, I just don't get how that relates to the post he quoted, which contained no comment about his skill whatsoever, in fact the only thing I said about him are the 2 factual statements that he beat QXC 2-0 and failed to qualify for Code A.

Sheth HWAITING! He's really an inspiration with his cool playstyle, and sets a good example with his good manners. Definitely deserves a spot in Code A.

Clearly people still havent learn how to handle classified information via. livestream. If you listen carefully on CSN stream, there are conversation between John and Artosis about how GOM talked to EG guys and such.
Congrat to Sheth, hope you do well in Korea.

Hope he'll not fight MMA first round ^^

Not to bring Sheth down, but how can you say he is definetely Code A level at least?
Have you even seen the players not getting into code A? And just look at FXO team trying to get in.
Unless he actually qualifies I think you can actually wait with the "he is definetely Code A at least".
Regardless it's great that he gets a spot in Code A.
|
Ah, I was curious if this was going to happen. The next MLG, which will also give up a Code S spot to the first person (or the first to take it) won't happen until right before GSL August. So I thought it odd they delayed the Code A spots for Naniwa & Thorzain until then, skipping GSL July. But, since we now know about the Team League bit, it was starting to look like they just moved those spots so that they'd all be able to play for both. With FXO there for GSL July (same time frame), I was really curious if they Sheth was going to get that 3rd Code A slot given out from MLG Columbus.
Or they were going to offer it to the best placing finisher @ Dreamhack. hehe
|
Grats to Sheth on this! Hopefully he does really well, as we all know that Code A is a lot of hell for... not much if you don't win.
|
I'm hoping Sheth can represent FXO in Code A given their unfortunate results in the qualifiers.
|
Sheth will make a good showing in Code A, it was said on these forums in the days after MLG that he was the only FXO member who could really do anything in the GSL and the recent qualifiers seem to confirm that. Hope F.united brings on some other talented players for their first GSTL match.
|
God always favor good mannered man Take good use of this precious opportunity, Sheth!
|
I believe Sheth could actually have some success in Korea :D
Sheth, Nani, ThorzaiN representing the west!
|
Hope sheth does well in code A! And all the other guys eventually get through the qualifiers. They sound absolutely terrifying.

Great news ;D, btw awesome photoshop skillz ^__^

He obviously came to the conclusion through his intensive bronze level analysis of Sheth's play.
Sheth likely won't make it far, but he can compete.

Even if Sheth doesn't get far initially it is still a great chance for him to improve and pick up some new strategies and skills.
|
Sheth is gonna tear it up, he has tgun to help him practice!!
|
|
They should really rework the qualification rounds for getting into Code A, i know it's a bit off-topic but still. Cool that Sheth will be there, hope he can make it through the first round at least!
|
Further proving Sheth is legit I really hope he does well in Code A.
