Their discussion on the replicant was 100% nonsense because they were wrong about some of the details of how it works... I mean they could have just read the reddit link djwheat posted and they would have been fine... 10 minutes of research before the show and it would have been fine. Cmon guys, pick it up PainUser completely misrepresented the Browder/Kennigit interview as well. As well as just a ton of general misunderstanding or misinformation in general. It is just really frustrating to listen to. Continuing on from that debacle, they then go on to discuss the specifics of units that are in a pre-Alpha state, which is non-sense as clearly they will be tweaked and actually balanced. It is baffling that any serious show would even have this discussion. And to top it off, djWHEAT assumes the role of the arbiter, laying down claims as to whether something is op or not when he has two professional players that would actually be competent to proclaim such things, even if they are utterly useless as no balancing has gone into the design. So frustrated with this show. I really hope that SotG does not follow up on this non-sense. Well they've done a good job of mostly sticking to conceptualizing how a unit will work and whether that would break it for the most part. Like they did with arc shield/recall. Hopefully they stick to that the entire way. It would be nice, and it would be the only way to have any meaningful discussion about the BlizzCon unveils. To hear these people (minus Machine, who has been unvocal about these things) cry imbalance at this point makes me very fearful about how people will behave themselves on Starcraft forums. Pros are more of a direct mirror / representation of "the masses" than they like to believe. ^_^
They either talk about the new units as they are, and how they would impact the game, or they just don't talk about them at all. Because it would be even more pointless for them to theory craft what they might look like when they are put in.
More people would rather hear their opinions on the new units as they are, even if they might not make it into the game, than just not hear about them at all.
For the most part, they are addressing the fundamental concepts and whether they are too strong from a design perspective.

i think i like machine more than idra on this show :D

I really wish I could hear IdrA's opinions on the new units. Oh well, I'm sure we'll hear them sooner or later.

I find it interesting that they think the exact opposite of most of the community. Protoss units aren't being very well received by TL and doing the worse in the new units topic poll. While all 3 of them seem to agree that they would be imbalanced.

They definitely bring up good points though like HotS is going to change sooooooo much less than BW did, like there are very little to no changes gameplay wise which I don't like. It feels like I'm buying a dlc for 10 dollars. I agree. Except its not going to be $10. Considering there will be a 20-30 hours campaign I think the price is fair.

At least withhold your bitching until the Beta, not off someones opinions of a early alpha build in unit tester.

I think they brought up very good points with say the oracle. Being able to shut down static defense to get your economic harass off is incredibly OP.
I think Blizzard purposely made them very strong right now just to show the ability and that these units can be very useful and strong.

Wow DjWheat, damn such a sensationalist person. Seriously? David kim being embarrassed about their conceptual units that they mad clear that are not even in Alpha...
Lol videogame ¨journalism¨ at its finest.

Oh I wasn't saying they were wrong. I agree more with them than with those polls aside from the replicant.

Incontrol really brings out the worst in Wheat. Only explanation I have for Wheat's behavior.

What did he say?

wow, i fucking hate this show right now. They´re so biased and negative. And on top of that they don´t even have an idea about the units und how you should treat them at this stage.
I´ve read much more interesting and thought-out impressions of the new units, for example on the battle.net forums. I´m pretty disappointed in these guys right now.

Why is incontrol tlaking about balance when they are talking about HOTS design.
Ghosts are getting nerfed, then why are they why is he talking about this ninja buff to cloak?

Seriously, I wouldn´t even mind their negativity if their comments seemed well thought out instead of ¨LOL let me talk in a sarcastic tone to make stuff look dumb¨
I know some of them played HotS at blizzcon, I expected honest opinions instead of this crap sensationalist thing. I won´t bitch more, its their show after all, but so far it has not been either entertaining nor informative .
I am pretty disappinted

Relying on second hand, anecdotal information on Ghosts being buffed seems like a healthy way of discussing changes that have not undergone any balance reviews.
Done watching this show, no need for me to be negative about things that ultimately will not matter.
Usually a fan of the show, the last episode was one of the better Starcraft related talk shows that I can remember in recent history. But just the negativity of the people involved has soured me. Which means that I should get off my soapbox and enjoy some good PvP, now also with commentary from Orb and Whiplash. Good stuff.

Hahah, the Double Down Thor is such a great name.

Wow, Machine saying every unit is broken / overpowered without ever trying it (even in alpha stages).
Done watching this episode. Not enough actual feedback, would have been a better episode if they had a actual idea of the units they are discussing and that the game is in alpha stages.
