Painuser did very well in the open bracket of Raleigh actually, losing to someone (Trimaster?) in the very last match. He could have gone into the pools quite easily.

Painuser made 32nd at MLG, which is far better than most people would have expected considering all the other work he's been doing. Lost to Hero in the OB, beat Agh to make it into championship bracket, and then lost to Orly, the guy who beat Cruncher and Grubby (but lost to Noblesse and mOoNan.

That's pretty good for his tier despite not beating any big names.

Yes now that demuslim is in the US i don't see a better terran to discuss about the game because he has a good personality.

Would be great i love painuser hes a great guy and knows alot but getting DeMusliM on from time to time would be awsome i watched the shows he did with rotterdam in germany and they were very fun to watch

I certainly love how people in this thread dismisses his advice of going heavy gateway. If this is concerning the ladder, then yes, 90 % of terrans WILL NOT get cloak, as it often straight up loses to standard play (notice how it often loses in pro games as well, and the comments always go "HAHA FOREIGNERS CAN'T DO 1-1-1 RITE LOL IT WASNT RIGHT VERSION HA HA.) 1-1-1 has been my standard ladder build, and of all the grandmaster protosses I've faced, the only player/style that made me think "well this shit isn't viable at all lol" was when I met adelscott who never got a robo (but got a fast forge and added a cannon in each mineral line when he expected banshees.) I don't get how you guys can just dismiss him completely because he isn't MC. It took "genius zergs" fucking months to figure out how to handle marine-scv all ins, which are now a complete joke.

1. Foreigner terrans are bad at 1-1-1. I have not seen a single one do it properly yet.

2. Zergs never "figured out" marine/scv all-ins.
- Close spawn positions were removed
- No 2 bunker ramp blocks
- no barracks before depot
- Smaller maps were removed, replaced by large maps with long rush distances

Before these changes, it still had the intended goal. The only way to stop it was to blindly build 2 spine crawlers or get a very fast baneling nest. These pretty much easily kept you alive, yet they do in fact put you behind in a macro game in terran decided to not pull workers and expand instead after scouting your preparations.

That's simply not true EmilA.

The maps changed. It took them a month or so to figure out 2 rax though the pressure is definitely asymmetric in the matchup.

The cloak version can't be simply dismissed off hand. It's inconsistent to complain that Toss aren't being safe (1gate exp) response if you want them to gamble in another way (dieing to a cloaked banshee).

I don't understand your complaint about how it dies in standard play? The cloak on the banshee doesn't seem to be the critical component. The survival of Banshees DOES seem to be a very critical part as we have seen in the GSL terrans fall apart as uncloaked banshees are destroyed (coincidentally doing very little). The harass seems to be . a nice bonus rather than a necessity in any engagement.

With regards to the haha foreigners... well really only foreign terrans have demonstrated extreme incomptence in executing the build with either odd timings or forgetting seige.. These multiple examples of just botching the build justify using koreans as the gold standard for examining the viability and power of the build. Especially as Koreans are now pretty much guaranteed to win whatever foreign tournament they enter and Terran domination of foreign tournaments will begin/continue if you can throw out a build to get a cheap victory against a superior toss (MC).

Anyway It's doubtful EG wants to talk about 1-1-1 as it would discredit their recent acquisition. It would be nice if they could talk about why Foreign terrans are terrible or only have certain aspects of their play ironed out. Thorzain's handspeed leads to head on engagements. QxC has his drop play (which is amazing. Don't know how we would compare it with MMA's). Then you have a bunch of meh foreign terrans who are "solid" but don't pull of interesting drop play or whose mechanics or timings don't seem to be cutting it.
