I have been bouncing between high diamond and low masters since season 1, near the end of season 4 I got demoted and was playing only diamonds, season 5 started and played almost exclusively masters

Started at 14-6 for the season and was feeling good, got matched against a terran who was favored on TDA, got ahead, then promptly lost to a double drop....

Next game go in against a slightly favored zerg and I get way ahead with mutas, he does like 3 run bys that i completely miss and fear that im about to lose again, my macro was awful floating 2k/1.2k and missing basically every inject ever, thankfully I send mutas to 3rd and he gg's out for my promotion.

Feels good to get promoted...sucks knowing my 5th demotion will come soon...

SC2 is my first RTS ever. Started in rank 90 Bronze, lost my first 8 games in a row, then learned to play but got stuck in bronze despite playing golds. Season 2 came, placed in silver. 15 games later was in gold. Season 3 came, placed gold. Played 10 games, promoted to Plat, which was a very frustrating experience for me, since all of the games were very close and I lost the last 3 or 4 in a row after winning 9 or so.

Currently I am Rank 2 Plat and failed a possible promotion run after going 2-6, then not playing for 2 days. 7 out of 8 games were against Diamond Zerg (the other Diamond Terran), and all 6 losses were to Zerg. PvZ is definitely my weakest matchup at the moment.

I first did my placements and ended up in platinum!!!But then I lost a string of games and ended up in Bronze.Working hard i got to Silver then I stood a long time #1 silver when ta-daa Season 3 started and I was on platinum.Thanks to college now I barley have will/time to play.But i'll try and compensate for it during vacation :D

My first time ever playing this game back when the game just came out, Blizz saw my greatness and slaved away at creating a Grandmaster's league just for me. I was pleased, so I spared their lives.

My Great Grandfather was also a Grandmaster in his day, so I know that he would be proud.

when the game released, i was placed into bronze (lol i sucked)
season 1 i made no progress, i barely even touched the game (thanks WoW....)
season 2 i went from bronze-platinum, pretty happy with myself
season 3 i went from platinum to diamond, was feeling pretty damn good
season 4 i stayed diamond..... worst part is for entirety of season 4 i only played a few diamonds thanks to my MMR
season 5....
I had already warmed up with the placement for my terran smurf (i play zerg) and i was ready to play. It was a ZvP on tal'darim altar. everything went perfectly. He opened with a cannon walloff but i had a drone block it in time for lings to get out to make him waste 200 in pylons in my base, and i transitioned to 2 base muta while taking a spire. He went for a 5 gate+immortal push, which i was able to delay and eventually crush with 2/2 ling-muta. The game worked like clockwork from there. I prevented him from teching with my mutas, i roamed around, had full map vision, took my third and eventual fourth while denying his, and i eventually just steamrolled him with a bunch of 3/3 brood lords (3/3 broodlings) infestors, mutas, and lings. That was one of the best games in my entire life and it led to this...

MASTERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I had accomplished what all my friends had deemed impossible for me to do (i'm 14 and very focused on schoolwork, they said no way could i get anywhere with a game and still have straight A's.... lolololololololol)

so yeah. bronze to masters, im waiting for GM to make a reddit post though

Got bronze for season 1, silver 2, gold 3, plat 4 and stayed plat 5. But now in 5 I'm plat Terran and Zerg.

my promotion from bronze to silver was most memorable. did some terrible 1 base void ray build ftw. got bm'd by my opponent. promo'd to silver, leaped out of my chair with a 'WOOOOO!', hit GG button, woke up my sleeping kid. good times.

I made Bronze to Masters in about 400 (between 2v2/1v1) league games over about 10 or 11 months. I didn't play a lot really, and I think I could of gotten it sooner but I'm not very dedicated to Starcraft (I watch a lot but don't feel the desire to play). It might also be worth noting that I skipped over the Silver-Platinum and was actually placed directly into Diamond when I was promoted from Bronze.

Anyways, I didn't have too much of a reaction to being promoted as it happened from my placement match, and I had been on about a 30 game tear from the last season. So I expected it, however, I was a bit nervous when I lost the placement match. Yet still I was placed in Masters last season, and while I didn't have any visible reaction I went about the rest of the day feeling rather delighted.

Worked my way from low bronze to high diamond, every promotion was like a sence of gratification that I was infact on the correct journy to becomeing a better player. I find the promotions to platinum, then to diamond were the most significant due to the fact it signaled me making a quantum leap in my skill levels. I casually flipped the fuck out

ran around, told my brother " IM DIAMONDDDD ^.^"

Bottem line : Getting promoted is awesome

I was first placed in Silver. Predictably, I lost more than I won. In no time at all, I was bumped down to Bronze. I stayed in Bronze for months. However, through immense effort and great focus, I got promoted a few days before Christmas. Now, I'm top Silver! Woohoo!
