So without help, i just kept playing 2v2 and 4v4 always in bronze, and no improvement, at that time i knew NOTHING, zero about starcraft, i tried everything, google, asking in game, however was brutally rejected or trolled. Nevertheless i found a caster on youtube named Husky, i still remember the first game i watched was MarinekingPrime vs drg, thats when i fell in love with terran, i loved everything about it, the tanks, drops, the splits, i thought marineking was so cool and that if i can even be a little like him i can kick ass. Up until now, i play terran ofc, and follow marineking's tournaments almost everytime hoping he will not get 2nd but win something big , Always supported him even now, i would always copy his tactics, his the reason i play terran. Lots of people tells me to switch, they say terran is op and boring, theres no room for improvement on it. Hell, i am the only terran out of my 15 friends xD, but i didnt take shit, sometimes i lose 2-20 i was demoted twice, but i didnt care. Its been roughly 6 monthes now, i am currently diamond, and have been stuck in there for 2-3 months now been ranked from top 8 to top 100 and hopefully someday i can get into masters :D

Still, a couple of weaks ago, when Bad_Habit posted his 6/7 pool strategies, I started to mess around with those a bit. After all, it was Saturday and I had nothing else to do ... after I went something like 16:6 on that day I suddenly was promoted to Master! And the best part of it, after going back to standard, I made my way into Top 25 of my league - probably promotion increased my motivation, somewhat. In any case, promotion gave me a really good time. Even although it is a couple of weeks ago, I still sometimes feel extremely happy and well about my promotion. There are moments where I am just like "Baam, I am Masters now, bitches!" I am now at the maximum I can achieve with my play time (I am doing a Phd in economics, which is not terribly difficult, but does not leave me with more than one hour playing time a day, on average) and that is a really good feeling :D

Last night I logged in, played some random terran 3 rax games, had 100% win rate (12 games), was happy. Then I thought, maybe I should play Zerg (my main race), which I did for the rest of the night (~5 hours). I got about 15 losses 2 wins. I was furious! I punched holes in my table (picture below). I ragequitted the next game and left for the night. Logged in 10 minutes ago, went a ZvZ, played horribly and ranked up to platinum, quite shocked. I didn't stay long as Terran after that, I switched to Zerg (still my main race), and I built my mechanics. I would win in the late game, but I would lose to early game cheeses. I kept getting better, and by Season 2 I was Platinum on NA (I switched to NA after getting Silver on SEA). I was so happy once I got into Platinum, I boasted to all my friends that I was so good, and everyone started to look up to me - having switched races and gotten 2 ranks above them in a third of the time. At this point my friends quit playing SC2, but I see them on from time to time, and we keep in contant cross game. Season 3 I got into Diamond, I was previously rank 1-2 Platinum in my division, and my mechanics had gotten a lot better. I devised my own strategy centred around +1 roach. In Season 4 I achieved Master, one or two months ahead of the person I was competing against to do so (Tazerenix). He would always throw it in my face that he was masters and I was still Diamond. At the same time he hit masters, I went on tilt, and proceeded to lose more than 10 games in a row, and quit playing Starcraft 2 for a while (It's impossible to fully quit ![]() Season 5 still Master, nothing interesting's happened yet! >:o Edit: I should probably mention I never deserved to be in Silver on SEA - at least Gold. I had won 4/5 of my placement matches at the time, and I was beating Gold+ players left, right and centre. That's why I switched to NA, I thought I would never get promoted out of Silver...

Then season 5 happened. Here I am at my gf's, haven't played in two weeks. I play a terran counterclockwise on antiga. I go for 15 hatch but missclick and hit esc while having the building hatch in selection, so I end with a gas and a pool nearly finished. Having no choice, I go for a roach allin, and crush the 1 marine reactor hellion opening the terran did. He ragequits. I get into diamond. Needless to say, I'm quit satisfied with my Christmas promotion =D
