Platinum in beta, mainly because of my 5 win streak in placements there.
Platinum in season 1, pretty sure I won at least 4 of those placements as well.
Lost on purpose placement for S2 and placed in gold. Won one game, back in Platinum.
Didn't play for ages, started to ladder again 2 weeks ago, got Platinum after 5 placement games where I lost 2.
Should hopefully cement myself in platinum this season as well, maybe get to Diamond if I can get over my BS fear of laddering.

I've been pretty stable, as in I've gotten better as the rest of the community has improved, I feel I belong around mid-top platinum and I always have, so my placements and promotions hasn't been very interesting.

However, I played Protoss in Beta and early season 1, then Zerg from then on. Terran has always been my worst race, but my friend got me a second SC2 account to play around on and for shits and giggles I decided to do my placement matches, using horrible tactics, my goal being to place in silver or so... I went pure M&M first game, pure M second game, CC first third game, won all of them easily, so I lost the next two by probe rushing... still placed in gold. Felt pretty good to know that I could have probably placed in platinum with minimal effort in my worst offrace, just by macro and mechanics.

one month later, thanks to Day9: plat zerg
quit for a long time for thesis and summer vacation then gradschool
started playing again: gold random player
now: plat random player
forever plat :'(

lol, so standard on SEA. just placed back into my usually plat. But on NA i jumped from silver to gold on the placement, won 1 game then got into plat. I would play another game to see if i can get into diamond but the only reason im up is to drink some water after a big night haha. games were ez-pz expecting diamond. i practice enough.

Been plat since beta because I never laddered much until recently, where I laddered slightly more than before. Now I'm diamond, which wasn't really a surprise since my winrate in plat was over 90%. Don't really have enough motivation to ladder more for master league.

3300 master s1, was very proud of that achievment (not a real achievment :p ) but after a massive computer crash, gfx crashed, motherboard crashed, processor crashed, screen broke, mouse broke and i was broke..

so diamond s2, diamond s3, diamond s4 and now back to masters where i belong!

so happy right now.

Was in Platinum since Beta. Last season finally got some time to ladder and switching to muta play vs Protoss got me promoted to Diamond mid-season. Kept playing and manage to float around mid diamond. Placed into Diamond again this season but it seems everyone's better. Getting schooled pretty hard - currently 4-8

I started playing 2 months ago, had never laddered and played the beta a bit. Finally decided to buy the game, Had some people teaching me, in some customs. I got lucky in my placement games, I won the first 3 and then 1 guy just left, the last one tried to proxy 2 gate and just like that I was platinum with my first 5 games played. I played around 300 ish games since, got to the top of my division and was rolling at around 750 points mid season onwards.

People talk about different leagues but in my short 2-3 months of playing the game even the styles of play and the way you think changes so drastically even within different tiers and MMR's of platinum and low diamond alone. Everytime I moved up Id lost like 4-5 games in a row because Id get hit by stuff I had no idea existed.

I got into diamond a couple of weeks before the season ended. I was told it was really easy if I just beat alot of diamonds, but in all honesty I was pretty much 50-50 and it actually promoted me when I lost a game. I feel like im out of my league personally, I already got crushed the first 3 games I played, but I feel like that everytime so heres to improving

. Besides Terran is the hipster race now. In the beta it was nothing but terrans now theres more randoms in my division than terrans haha.

Experiencend my first promotion today. It was 6:50 am and Season 5 was just recently up on Europe. I have to leave my house at 7:10 am in order to catch my bus. I saw the Starcraft MP Menu and the medal with the exclamation mark, saying that I have play a match to get into a league. And with only 20 minutes left I said to myself: "Oh well, might aswell play this game. 4 seasons in bronze league, this won't change anything." I got this new 2 player map against a protoss and I made my decision: 8 pool. Turns out my enemy tried a cannon rush and I could prevent it, he left immediatly. And then promotion! I was very suprised and happy and I almost missed my bus, but after some running action I still got it^^ Good way to start the day (turns out the day overall was not as bad as I expected =) )

In season 2 I was placed into silver, but almost never played a ladder game. The same happened in S3.
When S4 was about to start I said to myself: "Time to get into gold!" So I won my placement and was placed in... Bronze >.<

I started to grind games, after 40 games with a 80% winrate I got back into silver.
Been playing in high silver since, getting matched a lot with gold leaguers.

Today I've been promoted to gold! Time to get in Plat next season :D

Been playing 1v1 since Season 2, started off in Bronze and took me a month to get into Silver. Before Season 3 I made it into Gold and stayed there until about the last week where I made it into Platinum about a week before ladder lock in Season 3. Grinded a good bit of games and made it into Diamond off of my placement match in Season 4, still in Diamond after Season 5 but I'm going to grind hard over break to finally make it into Master's!

Been pretty much scared to ladder recently due to race swapping alot, but was around high silver, after deciding on my race 2 days ago been laddering a little and got promoted to gold : )

In about a weeks time I went from silver to plat. Then a month later I was in Diamond. All because of the day9 daily where he gave advice on how to improve mechanics.

FFE on Shakuras, thought that noone would roach bust on shakuras. Skipped the voidray, lose to a roach bust :D well going to diamond again, nothing new

I played a PvZ on Shakuras. My opponent went 9 pool with gas and then into very fast banelings. He broke my wall and went into my main with lings. I left the game after that. I got promoted into Master. I was in Masters last season also

I have been Platinum since the beta, and never played enough ladder to really move up or down leagues. At the beginning of season 4 I decided to start playing a lot more often, improve my game and my utimate goal was to reach diamond by the end of the season. I played well over 200 1v1 ladder games during the season, but alas, only managed to finish in the top 8 platinum instead of my previous goal, which was still fine by me. Today, after playing my 5th game of season5 , no longer trying to actually get into diamond, I have received my promotion after a 2-base PvP game that I've won. My promotion made me very happy, since I really feel like all the work I've put into the ladder has finally paid off. :-)
