Entered late into SC2, in Season 2. Only played team games and was afraid to play 1v1. Had a lot of success with team games during second season, but wanted to make my mark in 1v1, as I had not yet placed. I learned a few simple cheese builds and placed masters when that came out and stopped playing (20-9).

Next season I Decided that I needed to learn how to play 1v1 and would not shy away from ladder. I played a lot of 1v1 obs customs and with friends before Season 3 in preparation. Team games taught me to macro and strict BOs. Placed masters and ended Season 3 in top 8 master having my fair share of gm wins.

Started SC2 in the beggining of season 1. Got placed into bronze, worked my ass off and climbed my way to silver after around 100 games. Season ended, did not play much in season 2. In the end of it, I played my placement and got into gold. The season quickly ended and in season 3, I worked my ass off yet again and got to plat. I'm in high plat in season 4 and hoping for a promotion really soon!

Well I worked pretty hard to get out of bronze and then I was in silver for a week before I got promoted to gold then was stuck there till then end of the season because of the lock and then got promoted to plat. Working hard to fix problems with my play to get promoted higher. Mainly using backspace inject and hotkeying a lot better like doing 3 hotkeys for my army to take care of split drop harass and getting a better surround..etc.

Got placed into plat when that was the highest you could be. Then got promoted to diamond after about 30 games.
When masters came out I got promoted after my fourth game, which was a loss, to a very BM opponent.

Placed in bronze in the middle of season 1 (january). Got bronze again in season 2, put was top gold when the season was over. Went to platinum in season 3, and im pretty sure I would have been promoted again in season 4 if it wasn't for a 2 week long tilt with only about 20% wins. Im plat now, but I think it's mostly because I haven't played that much this season.

Got placed diamond, played a few got masters, stopped playing for 3-4months, dropped to plat, played a few and got back to masters, quit again for ~3months, got placed diamond, haven't played since.

placed into silver near the end of season 2 where i finished in Gold. Come midway season 3 i was plat. By the closing of season 3 i was diamond playing against master level players. Placed diamond in season 4, then I received a promotion to masters league after a few days of season 4.

My masters promotion game was against some terrible 6-pool all-in with workers thrown in to boot..... turns out 2-rax horribly destroys a 6-pool on any 4/3 player map.

Have played almost exclusively teams for my entire sc2 career. this season decided to play 1s finally. Was gold since season 1, placed into plat this season, 4gated my ass off for like 40 games, around 90% win rate, then got matched up against a masters for first time, he left when game started, promoted to diamond! kinda anticlimactic but im still proud!

Today. Fuck yeah. I was gold in season 1, then demoted to bronze (had my brother playing with my account a few times, he lost like 15 games in a row.) Then, with the season 2 locked, i started playing serious again. And today.. platinum! <3

Here is my story:

I logged into sc2; wasnt feeling very good about it. Dont really like the game but I was bored. I noticed that I needed to play a placement match (i didnt know about the season ending, i dont pay attention to that nonsense).

I played my game, 4 gated some random idiot and won in 7 minutes, then got promoted to Masters. Horray? Meh, it's whatever. I dont want to play vs good people so I just play on my silver league account now and mothership rush every single game. Silver league people actually cant beat it. Try it, it's mildly entertaining.

I am still in Masters on my main account, I play 1 or 2 games a week on it. I usually win. Seems like people don't expect proxy 2 gate when almost every map makes it easy to do because of the fixed positions on shattered and metal (and xel naga 2 player map). I dont play tal darim.

Whoever is having a hard time getting promoted to any league, just cheese every game. Eventually you will win more than you lose and promotion is inevidible. I get more satisfaction out of making some guy rage out over it than playing a macro game and winning. I even still allow people to message me without being on my friends list so I can bathe in their tears even more.

Started playing in bronze about a year ago. Took about one month with protoss to get to diamond. Then I quit for like 8 months and now I'm playing again but I've switched to zerg and i'm plat at the moment and still learning the basics of the race.

Started in Bronze.... 9 months later, made diamond. That was in June. Diamond to Masters is kinda hard. Just started a 2nd ladder account (that no1 knows about so i Don't get bothered) Hopefully I can make masters soon.

The better I get the more I realize how bad I am, so I think getting Silver will always be the best promotion.

Since the official release, I havent done many 1v1s. In the Beta I was in diamond for 1s and played quite often. Recently I played about 100 1v1s in season 3 and was in diamond for the most part but played 1 game in season 4 and got promoted to masters. but i havent had the time to play much since then.

Just did my Season 5 placement today, got into Masters even though I lost.^^

I was expecting/hoping this would happen, though. Last season I went 15-5 against Masters as a Diamond and never got the promotion during the duration of the season.

I started off as gold season 1. Kept losing to stupid Mutas (bane of Protoss existence to this day) cause they were OP in my mind at the time. Dropped me down to silver. =\

Started fighting my way back and got gold again after a week. Got platinum before season 2. Obtained Diamond like halfway through 2 and I have been in Diamond ever since.

1st season, SC2 was the first RTS I ever played so i had awful mechanics. I got so damn frustrated getting proxy zealot rushed, 6pooled, and scv/6rax all in'd every game. I was sure I would never get out of bronze, because there was no standardized gameplay, just cheesiest man wins. I beat every silver player i faced, but lost to a bunch of bronze leaguers, and never could get placed higher.

Then season 2 came, I played my placement game and voila, silver league. I threw a boxer style fist pump to the heavens. Since people actually played 'correctly' as i like to call it, I could actually measure my improvement in reasonable macro style games. Yeh i was awful, but sometimes I was less awful than my opponent, sometimes not so much.

I laddered happily for a few weeks, and then got promoted to gold, then I kinda quit playing for a long time. Still in gold, but we'll see.

My EU account which was demoted to plat because I havn't been playing, played 10 games last season and went 9-1, after the season 5 reset, logged in, joined a game, went "merry christmas and gg" and left.

Promotion back to diamond :o
