Im a plat toss player and lost to a 111 but still got promoted to diamond Losing to the 111 feels pretty terrible but this helped take some of the sting out of it.
|
I've been matched with nothing but Silver players for the entire season lock period with a winning record. I won my placement match against a Silver leaguer and I'm placed in..... BRONZE LEAGUE. A little frustrating. I took out a Gold league player today though, so I must be on my way.

diamond before, diamond after, but on the bright side i'm in a division with former masters players! ^^
|
This makes me sad, I've never been promoted
Maybe I should play more.

I started playing ladder at the end of season 2. Started playing toss and got into silver after the 5 placement matches. A Masters/GM toss at school told me to switch out before I could and I started playing terran (for fun at first then I liked it). Then I got demoted to bronze after a week LOL. After help on some mechanics from a diamond zerg friend and a few coaching sessions with RevLyra, I got to top of platinum in a month by playing about 2 games a day (I'm really busy with school). Then after that I've been playing on a smurf account to improve my tvz and got placed into plat again today after placements but I have been playing all diamond players with one loss D: with a 15 win streak before season 4 LOL. Hoping to get into diamond on main once I do my placement

Was high diamond season 1, stopped playing for 7 months, came back about 2 weeks before lock out. took Plat after placement. Lost like 25 games in a row lol, got back into it winning at a decent rate, getting 5-10 streaks here and there, faced 3 diamond players in this time, going 2-1, and then proceeded to go 3-15 on ladder about 3-4 nights ago. took a few days break, lost my placement, and am still Plat. Im assuming im one of the small amounts that actually thinks I may belong where I am

So I finished Season 3 at rank 3 of my gold division, went 22-3 the last two weeks... constantly matched against mid to top 15 plats, win placement against rank 20 plat guy, and still get gold... Sad pony.

Last season I fell from Masters to Diamond, this season I have re-made Masters with some fire.
Last night I played a team monobattle, we stomped them. However none of us had anything that hits air, so when we won the other guy flew his stuff to the corner and forced a draw. Guess who I played my placement match against hahaha.
He went for proxy gates (he's that guy lol) I held it and countered for the glorious victory.

started out placed in bronze league season one. back then i wasn't very good , but i was able to win a lot by 6pooling, so before long i was placed in silver league. soon though i learned that constantly 6pooling wasn't helping me improve my game, so i started trying different things ,and was demoted to bronze again. season two i placed silver and played my way up to gold. that was a pretty long grind, but i also improved a lot. Season 3 rolled along and i was placed in platinum, but i'd stopped playing right after the beginning of season three, so when i started playing again i lost a lot of games and was demoted. i went on a really big losing streak and was very disheartened for a few weeks, but then i started playing more often and now im hovering around top 8 gold. i havnt played for quite some time due to me going on a big road trip for 60 days and not having starcraft on my laptop, so i expect to stay gold (insert ponyboy) for quite some time when i return before getting my next promotion.

I had 2 accounts in Diamond in Season 3 and I kept them both in Diamond in Season 4. Yay!
|
Random player, I was gold rank 1 last season. I played my placement match and won easily and got placed in platinum. Currently rank 14. Maybe if I actually took this game seriously and picked a single race I could be diamond by now at least, but *shrugs* I just play this game casually.
When I won my placement match the whole time I was only thinking: "Remembering my larva injects is annoying while in the middle of an intense battle with my roaches against stalkers and colossi spread out during the fight." Won the match and saw "You've been placed in Platinum" and just thought it's about time... and just logged off.

Started in bronze at day 1. Then i googled somethign about starcraft and ended here in TL. I saw a topic about something called bunker rush, and decided to try it. It was AWESOME. I couldn't seem to stop winning. Eventually i got promoted to gold, where the bunker rush did not work anymore. I then made some friends and played a lot of team games. Someday, i got into diamond on team games ( there was no master legue yet). I was so excited. Eventually i came back to 1s, and learnt the mighty mass marine, breaking thru the platinum league. Then, in the very week before master league should be introduced I, 3 raxing, 1/1/1ing and 2raxing got placed in the diamond league. This was fanteastic :D. I kept on playing, but wasn't able to get into master's, but it didn't matter, I was already so pro at diamong league. I then quit playing for some time due to things IRL, but now I'm back as a platinum leveled zerg

Was at rank 2 Gold with 340+ wins. Beat a plat guy by 3 pylon blocking after he went 15 hatch. After he went for roach, infestor with 4 macro hatches on one base he proceeded to gg.
hooray
Now on a 4 win streak vs plats in straight up games :D and yesterday I thought I wasn't improving!
|
I was diamond in Season 1, then I kinda quit playing SC2. Resumed my play almost at the end of 3rd season and got "stuck" in platinum while ladder was locked.
After my placing match I'm back in diamond... Next step: Master!
|
i got placed into diamond again but promoted to masters after 5 games
|
I barely got a promotion story. I entered master league as soon as it came and always been there
|
sad story. havent played in so long, was low diamond, won my placement, demoted to plat. oh well easy come easy go.
|
Been high diamond for 2 seasons now, being a lowly bronze in s1. When the ladder lock started 3 weeks ago, I grinded about 500 games to practice to my hearts content. Did only one build per match up to try and perfect it as much as I can. After beating Masters ranked players during the lockout consecutively w/ hardly any loss, I thought this was perhaps my time.
Did my one placement match and got placed into diamond still. Then I started to lose to what seems to be an endless amount of 6pools and dt rushes yesterday morning. Went to work, came back to grind again! After winning what seemed to be only 4-5 games in a row but was actually 15 vs Masters players, I knew I was bound for a promotion. Logged back on this morning, lost 2 games in a row vs some "slightly less favored" opponents that were masters level and I got promoted! I can die happy now.
Now I'm thinking about buying another cd key for some off racing! YEAH!

Started in Bronze season 1. Absolutely terrible as a newb with zero build orders in my head nor the basis understanding what is required to win games. Start viewing streams of Zerg players and decided to switch. Played alot of custom games and kept learning more and more.
Season one bronze. This season got promoted to Diamond. I'm happy. Probably the highest league I can get in as I only play ~30 ladder games per season.

Kept myself in Diamond, not suprised but still nice
