Massive units are not affected by concussive shells. If you think they are, you are wrong.
It's SPORE crawlers that are being changed, not SPINE. Please read carefully.

Wow, this is actually a decent balance patch O.o.
But yeah being a Korean gamer is very imba. If you're a non-korean gamer you have to balance your game playing with earning money and your real life. If you're Korean you just sit around playing games all day eating 2 cent ramyun and becoming gosu.

So, this is kinda of a buff to Protoss :D? At least in PvT, those Archons get concussive shell kited to no end, rarely do they get to do damage, now if you lead with them and your Zealots behind them you can stop the effects of concussive shell kiting unless the Terran goes out of thier way to click on the Zealots

EDIT:

Why didn't they reduce the research time of hallucinate? This warpgate change pretty much reverts that buff Scouting shouldn't be nerfed!

Ha, Blizzard still hates bunkers. 25 minerals is hardly anything significant and a reasonable change, though. Spore crawler change is a very welcome change, 2-rax is still nearly impossible to hold at close positions on the ladder maps.

Ghost change is... interesting. I'd rather them increase the gas cost than the mineral cost, Terran is the race that currently benefits the least from extra gas.

The only change I really don't like is making 'toss strictly stronger early game, making them a bit slower midgame, and not doing anything to change the lategame. TvP at least is definitely going to be harder if this patch goes through, dunno about ZvP since 4-gate is more of a problem there.

Edit: Wtf spore only? Yuck.

This is going to completely change the early game for all PvX matches. I'm very interested to see how it plays out. To that person who said the MC 4-gate hasn't changed at all, it really has. Zergs will be operating on the assumption that they can get out more drones than they could previously, so the threat of a fake fast expo is not nearly as threatening as it would be if a 4 gate could come at literally any moment.

PROTOSS

Archons are now a massive unit.

Pylon power radius has been decreased from 7.5 to 6.5.

Cybernetics Core

Research Warp Gate time increased from 140 to 180.

Gateway

Sentry train time decreased from 42 to 37.

Stalker train time decreased from 42 to 37.

Zealot train time decreased from 38 to 33.

Warp Gate unit train times remain unchanged.


TERRAN

Ghost

Cost changed from 150/150 to 200/100.

Salvage resource return reduced from 100% to 75%.


ZERG

Spore Crawler

Root time decreased from 12 to 6.


Bug Fixes

Fixed a bug where Ghosts could not quickly EMP the same location.

Fixed a bug where players were still able to stack flying units on top of each other.




those are the real PTR patch notes I think a lot of people got trolled hard

I disagree. The archon change is good for PvP, but any change that affects a mirror match-up isn't too huge of a change. Edit: oops I forgot the warpgate change that is a pretty big one too

Spore crawler change is pretty small IMO. This is another reversion (from patch 11), although it's not reverting spines. If it reverted spines it would be a medium sort of change.

I don't see why people are saying this patch is a zerg buff... it's not a significant enough of a change to be a buff, while terrans buff is much more significant, just counterbalanced a bit by a small negative change to bunkers.

Zergs never had too much of an issue dealing with air, although it was a bit of an issue some games, but only cause zerg has their queens die somehow.

Honestly I'd have liked to see them reduce the build and or root time of spine crawlers. But we'll see.
