Ghost will be the first caster unit that costs more minerals than gas. It's not that it's a bad idea, I also like the change. But it's just wrong....to have a caster unit to cost more minerals than gas that is. It's like a mage that has a higher strength stat than intellect stat

I think that PvP will remain PvP (4gate) but the attack will be a bit late and with a lot more units, also yes restating what has been said, there will be more pre-warp tech timings, this patch will be interesting, to say the least.
With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

Well, even if Ghost are spellcaster, they're the less dependant one.
They have a pretty good dps against light target, snipe feel less like a spell than for example psi storm or feedback..
It feel weird to have it cost so much mineral, but if one caster had to be like this, it's the Ghost.

I know this is a feature I would truly want to see. It doesn't mean that only Grandmasters' posts/opinions matter but it allows you to understand a poster's whereabouts in terms of skill level.

If I was a silver level player, anyone gold+ would theoretically speaking, have a more in depth knowledge of the game. Whereas if I am a masters level player, that same info wouldn't be as useful to me and this simple icon would allow me to distinguish this.

The problem comes from not being able to determine if someone is really who they say they are, which has been brought up before. Arenajunkies does something similar, where they verify the best of the best (which would mean TL would only need to verify the top 200 in each region, which wouldn't be too much of a problem) and then after that if someone must lie, eventually it would probably be noticed (some bronze pretending to be a masters or something).

Anyways, OnT I can't wait to see these new changes. Would love to see more archon play in PvP

Actually, people will use it as an excuse for saying they are more right than others, when really, they're just clones of CombatEx.

technically a ghost is both a ranged dps and a caster in one. like a phoenix, battlecruiser or banshee. they have 'spells', but they're not fragile units.

the 'true' caster units are very fragile and require you to babysit them 24/7, e.g. sentry, HT, raven, infestor etc.


at a design level - the change makes sense because terran have so many units with costly gas to mineral ratios generally at lower tier. such as raven (2:1), ghost, reaper and medivac (all 1:1) and siege tank (15:12.5).

compare that to zerg or protoss, they have HT (3:1), sentry (2:1), infestor (1.5:1), DT and muta (both 1:1).... and only very high tier mothership (1:1), broodlord and carrier (both 15:12.5).

Its pretty much this, too many asshats who post around like they're god just because they are in master league.

In BW we didnt ridicule D/D- players if they gave correct advice, It shouldnt happen in SC2 either.

Again they are turning the clocks back. This will change the early game so much. They really have no clear line.

The final game including the two addons will look much different, anyway. So who cares?

You might generally be correct with that assumption but it's definitely not always the case, you can understand a game very well without being able to play it yourself just look at coaches and experts in different sports for a good example. Even with perfect knowledge you need to practice.

Overall a gigantic buff for toss players. Might even switch back toss to torment zergs with 3 fast zealots. Return of the double gate proxy in all mu's.

That's true, Ghosts are pretty beefy for a caster, The minerals probably going into health pool and psionic armor ?=D
Infestor-90 weak vs Anti Armor
Sentry-80 weak vs Anti Light
Templar-80 weak vs Anti Light
Raven-140 weak vs Anti Light
Ghost-100 Psionic/Bio Armor

I like how they are pretty resistant =D

Then again alot of Terran units are pseudo casters
ie: Banshee, Cruisers, Thors,

I like it Ghost will love my Mules

i think sige tanks need buff from 50/60 dps.... agenst armored... simply late game sige tanks get too easy owerund agenst zerg ultralisc... and agenst protoss they are uslees..

goust buff should help agenst toss i think

and 4 gate nerf and protoss early game is i think fixed now... i think 2 gate proxy work like 6 pool zerg if its 33 sec zealot OP then they will probubly change it....so i dont wory abouth that ..

i hope in future colloss nerf stim pack nerf banglings speed neerf ....and mech buffs...

This calls for a late game research =D hells Maelstrom Shells from campaign won't be a bad idea at all. of course adjust the numbers up and down as appropiate.

what give that resuce ? + 10 atc ? for sige tanks ? ... simply gameplay and game looks and feals great when they are sige tanks.... this mmm ball stim pack is wery powerfull (in my opinion OP) and wery boring to whatch ... sige tanks made this game interesting and great to play...

i think buff from 50/60 dps agenst armored will not efect game in wrong way i think it should be done...but ofc test on PTR...at list in HOTS they can add some upgread for sige tanks to be bether...
