Also, it seems I'm not alone in hating Slag Pits. It's like a crapper Metalopolis.
Edit: Now ---> Not*

Updated on SEA also no mention of it in patch notes. 1v1 ladder Typhon peaks.. wtf sweet!

It's disappointing one of the best maps got removed presumably because of Terran pushes vs Zerg in close spawn. This could have been handled better than a flat out removal.

Add terrible maps, axe shakuras and keep delta quadrant.
After this patch i am truly convinced that blizzard does not care about high level balance and would rather cater to low level players, or they are completely incompetent.

Agreed, the maps they added look pretty aweful (no offense to Blizzard map makers).

destructible rocks are the spawns of Satan

The rush distance on close Slag Pits is redicoulsly close. Poor Zergs.

People are already RAEGING on the new maps while many of you haven't tested it out yet. But it really is a pity Shakuras is taken out of the mappool. Big maps need more love.

Delta Quadrant is the Mubarak of SC2

Blizzard make up your bloody mind about Shakuras. Either leave it be or take it off.
For the most part, just leave it be.

lol
It has been ages since I vetoed DQ.
Its getting better, but its still bad.

I'm glad they removed blistering sands, way too fucking zerg favored

The new LT is fine. Typon Peaks is pretty cool. Slag Pits is pretty mediocre and Backwater Gulch looks pretty fucking bad.
Yes, yes. We haven't played 200 games each on them yet but with just a lil BW/SC2 experience you can analyze a map generally and come to some pretty accurate conclusions.

here's my explanation. those playing are actually busy playing. so the only people left here are those who QQ

kind of glad they removed shakuras because the maps balance was based on spawn positions. Sure I guess the same could be applied for LT and Meta but I think the back door rocks is a big reason why I don't like the map. Cross positions the map is great but horizontal positions isn't and suddenly the map is bad and doesn't generally go past 2 base. Would be cool to see the map return if the rocks were removed and the 12 and 6 o'clock expansions were islands, I think the map would be a lot better then. Also Jungle and Shakuras were added into the pool awhile ago as map fillers until they could get better maps and it took them this long to do so, so I don't blame them for removing the filler maps.
I'm also confused why delta quadrant wasn't removed.

Is this really what it's gunna be for all of SC2....recycling Blizzard made maps and modifying them instead of putting good user maps to the test.
|
These maps are just plain terrible in my opinion the best map pool would be something like: Shakuras New LT Meta Xel Naga and like 3 gsl maps such as: Crevasse Terminus RE Taldarim Altar
Im not to be stubborn or anything but I just falt out do not want to ladder on these maps
Blizzard please reverse these maps very fast the ptr was dead for a reason

I'm okay with Shakuras being gone for the new balanced LT
Holy fuck, good job Blizzard
