You had incredibly high MMR right when someone lost their spot(probably due to bonus pool). That's all your promotion boils down to, every other division works differently. Congrats btw. | ||

stayed there for a while lost like 4 games won 1 more again and got promoted With all due respect, I doubt that streaks are the major reason for promotion, although they might help. | ||

Yeah, I want to get promoted as well, but MMR matching still works, and I know where I stand wrt. a promotion.... Here's hoping Blizz takes their time and does a good job patching up the ladder mechanics. | ||

There are really no negative effects associated with going inactive. You don't get demoted from leagues due to inactivity. Your MMR does not decrease. Your points do not decrease. That part is killing me and my brothers willing to play 2v2. Hes been inactive since mid season 1 and I'm only 1v1 gold. We played a 2v2, lost and got put into Diamond and then was matched up against teams that had Master players. Last season we were mid plat I think. He's pretty much forgotten how to play and it's not like I can carry us against the Master level players we got put up against. It killed our night just being stomped a bunch. We didn't win a single game  | ||

We didn't win a single game Yeah the major problem with being inactive is you lose your skill, and then when you do want to play you just get stomped to little pieces. I try to play at least one game a day, and that doesn't even have to be on the ladder. It helps a lot to keep you skill up. | ||

After the first placement match, that new team or game type's MMR is separate. This allows players to immediately start playing against players close to their skill level from the very first game. | ||

2 of my last 5 ladder games that i have won i have not received any points for (nor has my opponent lost any) one game was last night and the other just happened Obviously ladder points arent the end of the world.... but why anit i gettin whats mine? | ||
