I would love to have this in my main menu. Is there a "real" risk of getting banned? If there is, I don't want to take that risk because I LOVE Starcraft 2.

Tried that just now and it looks great, thanks OP. Just in case, I'm taking a screenshot of the thread on BR Battle.net forums mentioned earlier in this thread.

Also, thanks for making the bnet interface *slightly* less shittier

So that Brazilian email means it's okay? I'm confused. Did anyone post it on BNet US forums or anything ? I really feel like this has a ton of potential for people, especially casters, if they can change that image.

Blizzard already stated that they don't care about editing files as long as it doesn't affect the ability to game. Also, They will NOT give support for that, so don't ask them. Simple like that. This is a 100% untrue. Few years ago there was exactly the same thing for WC3 were u could change the backround in the chat channel lobbys and people actually got banned for it w/o any patch which checked MPQ datas (so i guess battle.net checks on login) WC3 =/= SC2. Just to make it clear, one brazilian actually asked for the blizzard support about changing files(cross-region sound files), this is the response: Show nested quote +"Olá Rafael, Sua pergunta está fora do âmbito de nossas possibilidades. Isso é algo que você pode experimentar por si próprio, a seu próprio risco. Como o jogo é entreguado com todos os arquivos correspondentes a cada região, nós não fornecemos arquivos únicos, menos ainda de uma região para outra. Se você pode obter o arquivo e sabe como substituir-o, como disse, você pode experimentá-lo em seu próprio. Nós não oferecemos esse tipo de ajuda. This is something you can experiment by yourself, at your own risk. Since the game is given with all files correspondents to each region, we don't give unique files, especially from a region to another. In any case, just ask the goddamn support, there is no problem asking about it! In fact, I think I will ask them right now and post here the official response asap.
Are you serious? There are a lot of serious grammar errors in that portuguese version of the e-mail...

Shit, I want it bad, but I don't want to risk it. Why must you torture me so?!
|
oh that is so hot, i'd do it but my reservations are that im lazy and not because of fear of getting banned.
