Pretty sure I wasn't ranked 150 in the world when I was in gold league. And now I'm in plat, it says I'm 800'ish.
Doesn't make sense!!

Edit: In platinum. For example, if you're #150 Gold, there are 149 ppl higher than you in Gold. THen when you get promoted, you lose a lot of points, and now there's 800 ppl w/ more points than you in plat. | ||

There are definitely tiers in other leagues, but I don't think they are calculable, that is no one has figured them out yet. | ||

I'm #2 in my 3v3v division in plat, and according to sc2ranks I'm world ranked at #2014. That's all well and good, but the dude at #1, who is only 2 points ahead of me, is world ranked at #540. Not only that, but the guy at #3 is world ranked at #607. Furthermore, there are many places in the division where a person's world ranks is inconsistant with his place in the division. Can anyone make sense of this? I'm especially curious to hear Excalibur's take on the matter. | ||
