This could easily be a repeat of the last Code S tournament if they don't change up the damned maps. No good protosses except MC+NsPGeniuS. I could see MVP going deep again, maybe even repeating (although that would be a stretch). I play Terran and we need some diversity here. Maybe I'll cheer for Cool this season, but I doubt he'll bring his game like in S1, his winners cheque has allowed him to drink too much.

Also, rain is in Code A. I love it, death to 1 base allins.

I would put Tester on the same level as Genius.

Both really good protosses who usually lose because of greedy play.

My hopes is that, with the map pool change incoming, if becomes close to the 1/3 next time.

the map change still hasn't been officially announced though. I hope they take effect for GSL 5. As of now though, only the GSTL map pool changes have been officially announced.

Oh yeah, thats' true. I didn't even notice him in there because I was looking for the name TSL.Trickster.

Hopefully, the GSTL map pool change will be the final test of their new maps before implementing them for the next GSL. It would be a shame if after all this testing on GSTL and the Gisado stream, the maps don't end up making the cut. However, I think GOM has too much to lose from not changing up their map pool.

Leenock totally deserved his losses, though. He played ludicrously greedy, and lost to a-moved marines due to forgetting to make any units at all.

MKP will probably be forced to switch up his style now, atleast TvT since I guess everyone will try to copy MVPs style against him wich completly slaughtered him

Well, the thing is, MKP didn't really play MKP-style in the finals (outside the failed base-races I guess). In fact, I would even say that MVP played more MKP-like with his unit makeup and such

+ Show Spoiler +
Didnt he play more or less his normal style on blistering, meta and xel naga? Maybe his factory---> starport was a bit earlier then normal but the midgame plan seemed to be the same as it usually is? Correct me if Im wrong.

+ Show Spoiler +
the point is that MVP copied MKP's style of play, implying MKP's style is solid and not a gimmick that can be countered

SPOILERTAGS!

How did he copy MKPs style? Sure I dont remember exactly how the games went and I missed most of the game on scrap in wich I understand he sort of copied it but the rest? He incorporated tanks pretty early on in all 3 games wich is in my opinion not copying MKPs style. It is pretty late in the game before you see MKP getting tanks and I have seldom or rather never seen him use them in a timing push.

Well, MVP went for an aggressive one-base, multiple barracks, pure marine aggressive push against MKP during many of the games, which is something many people thought would come out of MKP instead. People equate MKP with an aggressive, marine-heavy style, yet in the Code S finals MVP outproduced marines and was more aggressive than MKP, which was ironic considering MarineKing was dethroned as the king of aggressive marine play.

stop fucking bashing rain. He did some 1base all ins vs nestea but he then showed he is not only 1base all ins but an extremely solid player. Just watch MC vs Rain game 2 of GSL3 Finals.

Also, you are arguing the march season will be the same as January because there are no other players at + Show Spoiler [GSL4 Finals] +
IMMvp's level
Thats. not. a. race. issue.
He is an extremely good player and he didn't win because he is Terran.

Strange in what way? Zerg has won more finals and made if farther in 3 out of 4 GSL's than Protoss. What's strange is that there arent as many Zergs as Protoss.

i still cant believe liveforever and sanzenith are still in code s while players like maka, leenock or rain have dropped down. but with polt, jookto and legalmind, there have been 3 ppl demoted who werent s-code worthy imho, and 5-6 worthy players got promoted. so all in all, the system seems to work. i still dont get how top could ever end up not being in code s anyway....

I hope Sangho practices and next times gets into Code S. Give liveforever a break. he took two seasons off to study and not to mention he got into the Round of 4 with having a pretty hard bracket.
Nestea and Makaprime. then loosing to FD.

it is entirly possibe however unlikely that we have 0 TvTs with 2 terrans in each group with them resulting in one going 1-1 and one 0-2 and not have to face eachother. From there it is once again possible for the same to occur in RO16 and no terrans being matched in RO8.

Just saying, you are not correct in saying 45% WILL be TvTs unless you already know the layout of the groups. Most likely lots will be but your statement is misleading.

I'm kinda interested in hearing how he counted it to be 45%...

assuming 45% of the players being terran results in 45% of the matches being tvt which they clearly wont be.
