I like most of the players, wouldn't mind seeing Moon there though, the 5th race should be code S. I'm sure we are gonna have a lot of upsets at the start, untill people get used to maps. Better creep spread and nydus worm to defend those far away bases might be needed for zergs to remain competitive, at least it's what we get to see in gisado's stream. Most of those zergs are macro fiends, so should be fun!

Love how last season Artosis was saying Leenock is one of the best. Predictions for next season: Jinro v Idra finals confirmed

Also MKP pretty much suiciding his units every game says more about MKP's state of mind than MVP's play. MKP's style is clearly not solid if base trades are his go to move when behind.

If GLS continues to be this Terran heavy, expect impending doom.

My hopes is that, with the map pool change incoming, if becomes close to the 1/3 next time.

Booo 15 Terrans. TvT is incredibly boring to watch in my opinion and I'm really starting to tire of watching the same Terran rushes over and over.
|
Hmm I'm interested in how all these Zergs will do this time. Hope I can see as many Idra matches as possible, that guy's just a beast.
Leenock not being code s is still my biggest upset. I mean he didn't prepare well in his games against the terran all-ins by NextLiveForever but was obviously the better player.
And he's playing by far better than July_Zerg (in SC2, at the moment, don't hate me). Just watching the Up-Down matches of July made me cry. If he doesn't step up his game or just had a very, very bad time I can't see him advancing much further.

FruitDealer is still in but Rain dropped? mind=blown Haha gotta love those trolls.
Pretty heavy on the terrans in my opinion. Those TvT from the semis on in both A and S really sucked.

Yeah, July's games are painful to watch. Expectations are high of course, but come on, July, learn some early game stuff, use creep, make drones. You are the most recent golden mouse winner to play SC2, shove it up those nerds' asses!

Leenock is a very good, but not solid player. Loosing to rush builds twice in a row, especially on Jungle Basin with nearly a minute warning is really bad.
I think Leenock's style with fast infestors has quite a bit of merit, but his follow-up was less than stellar. I hope Nestea or Idra uses some of his build ideas and refines them into something awesome.
Did anybody stop to notice that there are two foreigners that got top-seeded? It's really sad that they don't get to play in the GSTL. I think both Idra's and Jinro's matches are fun to watch because of their playstyle.
|
Sad to see Maka and Leenock fall down to Code A. Maka is capable of playing solidly and producing very entertaining games, and the same goes for Leenock. I think their demotion has more to do with their up-down groupings than their actual abilities.
I loved seeing Maka go mass Raven into mass orbitals into mass BCs in the Gisado KOTH. Leenock has convincingly taken games off of strong players like Clide, and I think he is definitely one of the stronger Zerg players out there even if he is not as solid as the top tier Zergs like FD, Idra, Nestea.
Hopefully, the second Code A tournament will have Leenock and Maka both be in the finals.

So lol that Liveforever is still in code S.

I'm interested to see how MC does next tournament. Had Jinro been able to take his game in the 2nd group stage vs MKP it would have been a very different tournament.
It sucked for MC because he was looking good all the way up to the point when Jinro when mech, which noone else is doing, and MC still almost managed to take him out.
Have MC and MVP played recently I'd be interested to see that matchup

When are the Code B qualifiers for March? I was under the impression they were on Sunday. Which is like 12 hours from now? The offline qualifiers that Huk and Moonglade and Ret will all be taking part to get in Code A?
|
That said, I do think that MC is the only really capable Protoss of the bunch. I just don't see the likes of Tester/Genius/Inca beat people like MVP, MarineKing or even Nestea really...
|
Is the code A up&down starting today?
|
|
lol, Rain in Code A.... I fucking knew it hahhahaha
|
The only decent/solid Toss is MC and Inca. Genius lost all of my respect after his utter failure against Idra. Choya is useless, Tester played terribly, Banbanssu is the snarftoss, HongUnPrime is crap, anyproPrime honestly played decently against Moon but that was mainly Moon playing like shit than anyproPrime's skill. SadZenith is sad.
Zenio, IdrA and NesTea are really the only solid Zerg's left. I am a massive Check + Cool fanboy but they haven't been playing too well.
Everyone else is Terran.
FFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU-

They're supposed to begin at 10 AM Sunday, which is like a half hour from now.
Whether that actually means games begin or if that's just the deadline for showing up and getting placed into your brackets I do not know. Unfortunately I can't seem to find any current updates on these matches that should be starting very soon.
