Alot of TvT in our futures.... with 15/32 players being T.. that means 45% of the games will be TvT (all other things being equal)

Tbh I find makaprime getting demoted a bigger upset then rain being so. Maka just feels like a more solid less gimmicky terran and I truly find that he belongs in S-class.

Some personal predictions

I think Julyzerg will have a truly hard time in S-class, I personally am not nearly as impressed as tastosis seem to be by his play.

+ Show Spoiler +
MKP will probably be forced to switch up his style now, atleast TvT since I guess everyone will try to copy MVPs style against him wich completly slaughtered him

Lyn will aswell have a pretty hard time and probably be in the up and down matches as 4th in his group depending on how that group looks ofc. Sure his play is pretty good but I dont think it will hold for RO16.

Liveforever wont win a game and will have to do onebase all ins to stay in S-class once again, hopefully he faces Leenock again and this time fails.

Tester will get to the finals and take a deserved win against MVP if the brackets lets them. I think its time for Tester to once again show everyone how truly awsome he is.

the code S toss look pretty bad, outside of genius MC. Think it's going to be another terran domination unless we see the new maps being used. I can see mvp taking another title or at very least a deep run to semi's. mc's pvt doesn't seem as invisible anymore.

it is entirly possibe however unlikely that we have 0 TvTs with 2 terrans in each group with them resulting in one going 1-1 and one 0-2 and not have to face eachother. From there it is once again possible for the same to occur in RO16 and no terrans being matched in RO8.

Just saying, you are not correct in saying 45% WILL be TvTs unless you already know the layout of the groups. Most likely lots will be but your statement is misleading.

Well, the thing is, MKP didn't really play MKP-style in the finals (outside the failed base-races I guess). In fact, I would even say that MVP played more MKP-like with his unit makeup and such

Didnt he play more or less his normal style on blistering, meta and xel naga? Maybe his factory---> starport was a bit earlier then normal but the midgame plan seemed to be the same as it usually is? Correct me if Im wrong.

FD won GSL1... how are you surprised he's still in Code S?

FD isn't that good anymore imo, and the game has changed so much since GSL1 too.

You can already guess the seedings of the players for GSL March.
By this you'll also know who the players will avoid.
You can also make a format for 2nd groupstage and the playoff without knowing the results.

I'll do the 1st groupstage group pots.
There are 4 pots A,B,C and D.
B and D have the same players but B and D will be assigned after the group drawings have been done. As B means the higher ranked person (rating they have achieved in last GSL) than D.

Seed A Players 1-8 in last GSL
Seed C Players 9-16 in last GSL
Seed B & D Players who finished 17-31

If a player is seeded A or B they won't be able to meet another player from the same pot.
This means Jinro will never face IdrA in the first groupstage etc.

A seeds:
(T)IMmvp
(Z)IMNesTea
(P)choyafOu
(P)TSL_Trickster(sSKS/TesteR)
(T)oGsNada
(T)MarineKingPrime.WE
(T)LiquidJinro
(Z)EGIdrA

C seeds:
(T)TheBestfOu
(Z)oGsZenio
(T)SlayerSBoxeR
(T)oGsHyperdub
(T)ST_RainBOw
(P)NSPGenius
(P)oGsMC
(T)TSL_Clide

B and D seeds:
(T)FOXLyn
(Z)oGsTheWinD
(P)oGsInCa
(P)ZeNEXBanbanssu
(P)HongUnPrime.WE
(P)anyproPrime.WE

Possible yes. But it also depends in which groups they get drawn. Meaning if Idra is in Group C and Jinro in A they would meet eachother in the 2nd groupstage depending on their standings (first for one and other must be 2nd then).

Edit:
I just noticed. Due to standings it is possible we can have a group consisting of the following players.

Player A: oGsNaDa
Player C: SlayerSBoxeR
Player B or D: ST_July

Mindblowing group if that happens LOL.

Rain out of Code S, finally. That kid belongs in 2 x 4 wailing Code A.

I think FruitDealer is getting a lot of unwarranted flak for still retaining Code S. In the current state of the game, it's pretty hard on Zerg. The number of Zergs actually in Code S is pretty much evidence for this. IdrA even said that Zerg is going through a tough time right now. Maybe FruitDealer can lead the second revolution for Zerg, like he did in the first GSL.

well, he won gsl1. he lost 0-2 to MKP in gsl2. note- IMNestea, who won gsl2, also began his series against MKP 0-2. so if IMNestea had faced MKP in RO64, he would have been knocked out the exact same way. GSL3 he lost 2-3 to hongun in a very interesting series, trying to 1base v. toss fast expand that failed which ultimately lost him the series. GSL Jan i didn't catch how he lost to Zenio, but his other loss was to MVP, who completely dominated this season with 1 loss total.

what i've noticed is that FD has been forced to change his style of play. The roach buff changed a great deal of zerg. Leenock, however, has stuck to a slightly less flashy FD GSL1 style (but fewer baneling drops)-- which is almost completely roachless macro. I think that's why Leenock is fun to watch, as FD in GSL1 was fun to watch.

but considering that, i think fruitdealer is still in the top 3 zergs-- i expect him to do better next season as well. I think he's far ahead of leenock, who still has to go through the changes FD started seasons ago.
