The message comes up instantly, as if it's not even checking if the server is up.

It's only for NA.

Seems like a very reasonable patch, protoss changes will solve alot of the scouting issues they were having. sad face that they didnt nerf late game protoss >< (i.e Storm)


That said, keep in mind that PTR notes are often changed fairly significantly throughout the testing process. At least that has been the case with many other blizzard games.

Yes it is. Zergs complaining that in ZvZ you can't FG mutas to stop them. Well now they have to deal with Muta harass the same way us Toss and Terran do. Running frantically from base to base cursing at them.

Yeah it is probably just you. What exactly were you expecting it to be? It does what a chat channel is supposed to do, is nice to look at, and you can participate in chat even when you're going through achievements or profiles etc. Can you use chat channels in-game too?

It's extremely different from what we already have, there hasn't been any public channels in SC2 until now. There are already screenshots proving it fits more than 10 people, look back in the thread. You're making silly assumptions, I can't see why. We finally have chat channels, that's a good thing.

To all the people saying "welcome to the life of T and P against air" to Zergs:

Stimmed marines and phoenix shred mutas much better than any zerg unit -_- Hydras are too damn slow, even on creep, to kill mutas, This is why FG was necessary-without it, ZvZ is going to turn into a mutafest. Same thing with phoenixes.

And the change to stop holding hotkey to make units with larvae: WTF? How the hell is Z supposed to macro in the late game? Press Z 50 times for 50 zergling eggs? T and P can both hold down hotkeys to macro, why the hell can't Z, the race that needs it more? I don't think T and P players realize how much this destroys late game Z macro, to the point where that it's extremely difficult to produce units and fight battles at the same time(something that is not very hard for T or P in comparison)

Seriously. SCV change was good though.

Bunker build time decreased by 5 seconds. As if 2rax pressure isn't bad enough >.<
Although I do like that the scv move pattern while building is much stable than before.

PTR is only on North American servers.


Ah, I was assuming my SEA account, with NA access, would be able to access it.

Looks like that may be the case, too; after starting the original executable, logging into the NA region, then closing the game, the PTR executable now works as expected.


People should really start reading FAQs

* The player has had an active StarCraft II North America game account before 11/11/10.


Despite having a SEA copy of the game, I still fit this criteria due to the NA access in September giving me an active NA game account long before 11/11.

Yes....because blizzard has a nice little "when it's done" policy they always parade around. They're supposed to be devs that like everything to be polished.

That is a really good suggestion. 20 phoenix shouldn't die because of one fungal, nor should they be invincible. Nice compromise.


How about not one control group syndroming your entire air army when you know Z has infestors out? Too much to ask for?

downloading the patch now. seems pretty slow.

i wonder how long do i have to play to get into masters league in the PTR. is the ladders working proper? do i start with my MMR in the NA ladder or everyone starts from scratch?

I love this site. Only a few hours after being posted and there's 31 pages of "discussion".

I can't wait to have fun with toss again. I used to play them in SC1 but couldn't quite get the hang of sc2 toss. Maybe this will change things.
