Remember everyone that these changes are going to be tested. If something is seriously wrong it will be changed by the time they release it officially on the main servers.

The problem in ZvZ. The unit to make becomes the Hydralisk, and possibly Queens. Spore Crawlers must be made, but they will not defend against increasingly large Mutalisk balls. At a certain point, the defending player must decide whether to attack. If he attacks, it is completely all in, because it takes Hydralisks too long to get across the map. The Mutalisks would kill all the workers, and still fly back to reinforce if necessary.

I don't think it's possible to creep up to the opponent before the Mutalisks get out of control. But I think we'll see the use of Speed Overlords and Creep Spawn a lot more if one decides to counter attack.

I always hated ZvZ because of Mutalisks. Now I have to learn to play it. My strategy always consisted of a Roach push right before Mutalisks came out. Too late of a push, and I lose from no anti-air. Timing had to be perfect. Time to relearn the match up.

What will? I don't understand why you are complaining? Blizzard is trying to test out a new patch on a test server, and you guys are pissed that they are nerfing and buffing things on a TEST SERVER.

Just follow July Zerg and make corruptors. They shut down phoenixes reasonably well, and stop the transition into colossus.

Corruptors are quite decent vs all Toss air in addition to the Colossus, and when you're done you can still make them into Broodlords which are quite effective vs Toss.

Yes, yes Corruptors aren't the "perfect" counter vs. a group of fast phoenix, but since when has SC2 or SC1 for that matter been about perfect counters. Remember back when Toss couldn't deal with Mutas for frack but slowly the game styles evolved and they found their way. Have faith in yourselves or go QQ on BNet forums.


except u idiots had an anti air unit that does bonus dmge to light units. its not zerg's fault if it took you so long to realise that "hey, maybe this anti light air unit would work against light air" is it?

How the fuck do you counter phoenix with corruptors? You do realize phoenix are a lot faster than corruptors? No one cares about not being able to kill phoenix head on, that's easy and only a stupid protoss would engage that way.

Sounds like another flying unit in ZvT, but I can't seem to recall the name. I do know that T had to build turrets to defend against them, though. But still their health regenerated, so any good player would just snipe stuff and leave.

Void rays have enough range to still attack when fungaled, unlike mutas. Last night on IdrA's stream, some protoss massed like 15 voids and they got fungaled, and still owned the hydra ball shooting them :/

I hope this doesnt get live. So the race with worst Antiair is losing FG on air units+protoss build time reduced. And the people from blizzard didn't watch the GSl lately. All TvZ are 2rax+scv all-in, and they reduce bunker build time? I need that someone explain this to me because i dont know how they can get to that idea and actually think that is a good way to fix something (don't even know what are they trying to fix).
