I feel like it's time to switch back to Protoss for me....

Zerg was fun while it lasted, but now Mutas will be unstoppable in ZvZ and I just can't stand mutas.

I thought they were pretty good for a cloaked detector. They actually used to be cheaper in the beta, I think 50/50? A lot of this patch contains changes that don't make sense, like the flux veins, fg, bunker build time.

I guess spore crawler and corrupters are going to need to be built against phoinex builds. Oh no! the game is broken now!

Seriously the reaction zerg players are having is ridiculous; THE PATCH ISN'T FOR SURE YET. This is to test it to see if it is beneficial to the MU or not.

Actually spores counter phoenix just fine. For once Zerg have to deal with a mass of flying units with greater mobility and huge harassment power. Live with it.

you want us to put spore EVERY WHERE on the map ? this is not only the worker harras who make that broken

Oh wow, these zerg nerfs are definitely not going to be in the real game.

I can see a perfect strat for toss though:
Drop colossus and sentry in the main; forcefield the ends of the mineral line, and watch those drones burn baby burn!

this is actually retarded and seriously effects zerg in the stupidest way imaginable. christ at least in brood war 1 hotkey press while selecting 12 larvae made them all morph, now it's actually much worse than that, making mass ling is going to be ridiculous

I am unable to comprehend why this would need to be changed? Its not gamebreaking and helps save your fingers when you need to morph 30-40 lings into banelings... oh blizzard.

Spot on, this patch doesn't make sense. Can't wait for a situation report, I really want to know why Blizzard thought these notes was a good idea.

+no fungal growth?

What? Alright. Race switching. No good spells and no macro ability I'm out. I hate to be sensationalist but this shit is fucking wacked. Fucking whacked.

fungal growth not hitting air makes sense for the storyline... they throw globs of green liquid up to 10000meters up?

kinda cool if they like using bcs/ravens...

Uhm this buff is kinda a big deal, as ultras cost effectiveness increases. With no consequence at all, those late game ultra pushes in TvZ are gonna be tough.

btw anyone know how the splash damage for ultras works?

I absolutely agree, I imagine this is going to effect ultralisks against marines greatly.

What if protoss learned to micro and spread their phoenix out to minimize fungal effect instead? I mean.. what the hell?

Other than obvious nice things like chat channels, I'm really not fond of the balancing. I don't get why they changed the void ray either, how was the speed upgrade in need of removal? Bunker build time again, why?

No, I don't get it.

what? how is it 100% impossible to kill them? they are JUST like mutas in how easy they are to kill.

u realize that to use gravitron whatever-the-fuck the protoss has to stop moving the phoenix right?

Just like mutas, except
Faster
More hp
Bigger range
Smaller attack cooldown

No counter in zerg army

u forgot to add *don't hit ground*
and
*shots dont bounce*
*costs 50% more gas*

since we are counting everything

they do hit ground with graviton beam
they do significantly more damage even if you count bounce damage.
But how would i expect someone who comes to an arguement not even knowing how much the unit theyre arguing about cost.
Youre either completely clueless or are a troll.

yeah, i wrote gas instead of minerals, so im completely clueless!
wtf is ur problem
and they don't hit ground with gravitron beam. they pick stuff up, which other phoenixes can hit because it's in the air. which also causes the phoenix that picks it up to stop moving, during which any zerg could hit it because it can't run away.

yes, im aware u know all this, but im just affording u the same courtesy u showed me

i love how ridiculously butthurt u get over this shit, because i dare to say that phoenixes aren't impossible to kill.

allright. Straight up i know you know this and i realize youre just trolling and probably not even aware of this. I read your other posts in this thread where you backtrack on your anti-fungal growth claims.
Between that and claiming that zergs win tournaments, you know, just cut down on the trolling, aye?

are u actually arguing that zerg don't win tournaments? u don't think gsl counts for anything?

and i never backtracked on anything. i clarified for people who like to make assumptions

see, trolling, you know exactly what i mean but you ask those enticing questions i cant help but answer

I'm glad these changes are going on test server first so blizzard can see if they are appropriate. I'm guessing their analysis will reveal that Zerg will probably have no answer to phoenixes after this patch, and that mass phoenix into a decent ground army will be close to unbeatable.

However it is interesting to note that the bunker change was specifically marked as being ONLY intended for test server. Why would they purposely intend a change ONLY for test server, thats a bit odd?

They're doing it to check the repair priority I would guess, since that's the most likely thing that you need to repair as Terran.

PF will be kind of bad too, now bunch of roaches will easily clean scvs and kill it

hydra ? too slow wont be able to hit anything because the god damn FG can,t hit aire.
Queen? are you kidding me ?

You're going to have to do more then make mutas for total air control. Boo hoo.

Maybe zerg will stop staying on t2 so long.

None of our tier 3 units attack air. What are you even talking about?

Crazy changes. I don't like the Public test stuff though. Too many low level players are gonna be like, buff this and nerf that. They should have only allowed PTR to the people in Masters, and Grandmasters(this is still coming right? 0_o) leagues.

The change doesn't pertain to ling>baneling production. That'll still be holdable, like everything else.

Zergs stop fracking QQing for a second and just wait and see eh?

Corruptors are quite decent vs all Toss air in addition to the Colossus, and when you're done you can still make them into Broodlords which are quite effective vs Toss.

Yes, yes Corruptors aren't the "perfect" counter vs. a group of fast phoenix, but since when has SC2 or SC1 for that matter been about perfect counters. Remember back when Toss couldn't deal with Mutas for frack but slowly the game styles evolved and they found their way. Have faith in yourselves or go QQ on BNet forums.
