The fungal change removes viable strategies from a race that could benefit from more diversity. The impact on ZvZ is beyond disappointing. ZvP looks to have a significant increase in "Spawn more Overlords."

Removing the ability to hold down a hotkey for unit generation is a step backwards in gaming.

The next SotG should be interesting.

If anyone just showed up and was wondering if they should read this entire thread from the beginning, I wouldn't recommend it. Source: A guy who did.

Every ZvP that went out of the early game so far that I've played has ended up as mass stalker sentry vs. roach hydra and all the other parts of the game (phoenix vs. muta/corruptor etc.) have been leading up to determine who has the economic and number of unit advantage for this mass stalker sentry vs. roach hydra confrontation.

as for zvz goes, I have noticed it is a lot more balanced between muta/ling/bling against roach/hydra/infestor

infestors still negate the bling for the most part.

so I hope people stop complaining about that at least

but I still think zvp is going to be too crazy but I will just wait to see

Yea sure. Spreading mutas means don't focus fire. Just fly over and hit s. I am sure that take lots of micro. Don't even compare that to spreading marines against bling. There are about 200000 ppl who can spread mutas and about 200 who can spread marines well enough for it to be effective.


Lol what you on about, spreading marines is easy. I have the worse micro and also a Z player and I managed to do it within a few games as T. Admittedly i'm no Foxer, but so long as your rines are standing in clumps of (2-3 even 4 breaks even) the banes becomes inefficient.

You just have to know when you should bother spreading, and when the marines are as good as dead and go back to base and macro instead of wasting apm.


Congrats on being a genius at spreading. Many people are jealous.

Also anyone else think they'll buff FG to all ground units and biological air units??

These are not taken from anywhere, these are my suggestions. The first one is reasonable, the last 2 do not affect gameplay whatsoever, just improve spectating.


cancel+rebuild for drones is already ok as it is because it'll end up costing about 100 (or just 75 if they cancel the extractor and the drone dies) minerals for the Zerg player. Zerg players already lose a small amount of minerals every time they cancel and rebuild the exactor and they'll eventually lose the drone. In addition, it is one more thing a zerg player has to pay attention to just to stall gas for a short period of time. A Toss player or terran player can block a Zerg's natural for a short period of time for 100 with a pylon and a couple minerals with a E-bay (Ebay may be cheaper but it gets canceled sooner). As a result, extractor steal is valid.

I like your idea with the scan but the FF is useless because FF is neutral so it doesn't really matter who casts it.
A lock that opens to many keys is a bad lock. A key that opens many locks is a master key.

I haven't read through the whole thread, but it doesn't seem like anyone has mentioned the change to the location of the Ultralisk's splash damage.


Has anyone done a comparison, how much of a change is it?
