If you partner was under attack the entire game and took a lot of economic damage and was never able to build units with more then three gateways at once there would be no point in him getting warptech because he'll never be able to use it. I had a game where we were against double zerg and they both 6 pooled me and kept up the pressure with roaches afterwards. For the first ten minutes I was constantly loosing probes and having to replenish them and I wasn't able to pump units out of two gateways constantly. Meanwhile my allie bunkered in and was never attacked but did very little to help me defend. Ten minutes in I somehow manage to stay in the game after basically 1v2ing the whole time and my partner starts to get on my case about not having warpgates. It was very annoying and I hope it wasn't you  | ||

And the ability to pick where you spawn units is more than enough justification to spend the money, even if you are a little hurt economically. | ||

I responded with "I'm better than you are, and you're not going to win without me" killed all of his workers and CC and then I left lol | ||

Me: you only have 5 drones (spawning pool, no gas)... you should make more Him: oh ok Me: (a few minustes later) still only 6 drones? Him: i made spine crawls so at the end of the game (15min mark) he has been dead for 5 min and i lose the barely lose the 1v2 (they were really bad, im in bronze 1v1 and i almost won lol) so lets see what he made in 10 minutes... 4 spine crawlers 7 spore crawlers (they had literally NO air) 2 zerglings 13 drones, all used to make things 0 queens thats it. honestly i dont know how he is in bronze 2v2, hes just that bad. also i watched the replay, and he had like 600 minerals (0 gas ofc) and he just watched. didnt leave the game or send me the minerals. he just kept them, probably to build a new hatch with his 0 harvesters forgot to add the evo chamber for the spores, no ups btw because he had no gas | ||
