seems to be a very emotional player, whether thats positive or negative is yet to be seen, i really cannot wait for tester's game i hope his apparent nervousness doesnt effect his play because hes so solid, as for cools games yes the terran could of killed him but cool capitalized on the mistake and therefore no one can state he didnt deserve it.

- You started game 3 by receiving a lot of damage in the early game. ▲ I thought I lost so I thought of just announcing GG, but when I just played like I have practiced things went well. My opponent didn't even use Medivacs and started collecting Thors, and because I thought I lost, I excluded everything and only made Drones. But my opponent didn't come attacking during that time, and later on when I saw that his Thors weren't upgraded, I figured I had won.
TOP had the game in the bag, why he didn't take it is a mystery to me right now. I am glad to see a Zerg move on, but that match just did not make sense to me. Any other terran would have dropped some tanks or thors, killed his expansions, moved in earlier, kept on harassing, not let him expanded.. so much. But TOP just turtled and massed thors....
*shrug*
Just wish TLO was in TOPs spot there at the end when the banshee got the 9th kill.

Why poorly played in game 2? He would have made huge damage if only terran didn't make blue flame hellions.
And mutas would always do huge damage if terrans didn't have turrets, thors, marines or a combination of them all.
This "if" is a funny one.

What's interesting to me is we're in Ro16 and here's a guy who build two Baneling Nests and two Roach Warrens (twice in two diff games), should have been crushed in game 3 but TOP turtled and he still won.
This is taking nothing away from Cool, but there is something really interesting about the first few months of this game. It's not as smooth and tight as BW was (though I'm not sure anyone expected it to be). It shows even the top players have a ways to go to really hit that skill ceiling. It's a really interesting time to be watching the game unfold this way.

I thought that Cool was going to become the most popular player in the world in game 2. he had 3 opportunities he could have started a new nydus to trap the hellions in place so we could kill them. had he done that, i think he would have won the game, and it would have been one of the coolest plays.

You think? Seems to me like he was just talking out of relief. He admitted that he "should've" lost - saying that a race is fine because it gets to macro up to 90 drones without building much defense is kind of ignorant.

good hopefully some of the zerg noobs will stfu now, grats to Cool.. good to see someones adapting rather than complaining

Note to Blizzard, the ultralisk attack bug is keeping zerg from not sucking. Please don't take it out.

Thanks for this.
Glad to know that Cool isn't going to switch. Fruitseller Fighting!

By the time blue flame was out, cool already lost.
He would run his lings in single-file against a choke held by marines and helions. He did not send any to harass workers. Pretty much just 1a kind of stuff.

Yeah, I'd say it was very well played by Cool, but oGsTop just had great game sense to expect Ling/Bling play and upgrade blue flame after seeing that Cool didn't expand. No, it wasn't well played. His control was horrendous and decision making was stupid, which is pretty surprising since that was the only thing he needed to do at the time. Blue flame didn't even come out immediately.
Seriously, how you can watch that game and think Cool played well is beyond me.
Edit**Nightfall beat me to it.

Actually you need to keep the units away from the workers. If he had moved lings in to harass the workers first, that would only have helped TOP as he would have been able to surround his hellions with a bunch of SCVs, making them impossible to damage and able to be repaired. The best choice was going after the units and trying to wipe them all out with lings before the SCVs could get involved. And the longer Cool waited before attacking, the more units TOP would have.
If you watch his ling control, you'll notice that he does a nice job of trying to maneuver them around in order to better surround the hellions. It's just that hellions are very difficult to catch offcreep by speedlings. TOP had great hellion control and was constantly moving and shooting to avoid being caught.
I can't say that the micro was absolutely perfect by either side, but to call it bad decision making or "1a kind of stuff" is just ridiculous hyperbole. It was a build order loss pure and simple, and no amount of micro could have made Cool win the game at that point. Had TOP gone fast tank or Thor instead, Cool's attack would have had a much better chance of working.
