I only wish the animations weren't so weird... looks really funny when a marine lowers a firing gun when he moves. Blizzard really should have anticipated that.

Oh well, there's always Heart of the Swarm next year. Hopefully they'll wise up then.

For those wondering how. Essentially you issue an attack command on the ground or on the target and the moment the unit deals damage you issue a move command. When the attack is off cooldown you issue another attack command and another move command as soon as damage is dealt. Rinse and repeat. Getting the timing down is the hard part.

I'd like it if blizzard made siege tanks/hellions/thors a little more stutter step friendly. Those units and their turrets and initial attack delay make it tougher than it needs to be.

I havn't tried BC's much but I imagine it's extremely tough to do due to their very short attack cooldown.

Actually orb walking, stutter stepping, and animation cancelling are all different things. You can do any of those three without doing the other two. Orb walking is simply manually casting an orb (e.g. frost arrows) without actually issuing an attack command in order to avoid creep agro. This "stutter stepping" is the act of moving during the attack cooldown in order to maintain distance or chase. Animation cancelling is when you cancel an animation's backswing (very obvious with CM in DotA). Yes they're all very closely related and are sometimes all done at the same time, but I don't think it's right to claim that they're the same thing, especially since you can do each independently.

Small correction; Orb effect spells have the exact same animation as normal attacks. Orb walking is abusing the creep AI in DotA. Creeps are told to defend a hero if attacked by a right-click attack, but not if an spell is cast on them. On megaupload first I have to input the captcha then wait 30 seconds then it says me I've wasted my time because someone with the same IP as me is already downloading a file!

Very nice, qxc. This will help a lot of lower-end players realize how much DPS can be gained through this method, especially since ranged units have a horrible habit of choking each other in battles.

sorry to bump a slightly old thread, but does anyone know where i can download this map? from the youtube video and from googling and from searching teamliquid i can't find any links apart from the original megaupload one and i can't download anything from megaupload, ever. it's something to do with the country i live in, everytime i try it tells me my ip is already downloading something. and it clearly isn't.

thanks in advance! either the older one or the improved version are ok, i play terran anyway.

nice map. I'm sure it'll be useful for most players, however I was wondering if you could add Mutas in a later version (for us Z players). I've been dying for a map to practice muta micro on.
