On a positive note: This also may or may not be fixed if he continues to lose bets on air and have to suffer the consequences week in and week out. Yeah, that might do it. That could be his thing and I approve. ![]() Nony's awesome on this. Was good this week, Artosis and every other zerg shit when Huk said Roaches were good vs Colossus.

That begs the question what SC2-style of play actually means. hmm it raises that question but there's no question-begging going on there. we are begging the question when we say something like "these maps aren't good for sc2 style of play because they're only good for sc1 style of play". we dont immediately know what is good for sc2 style of play but we know that sc1 and sc2 play differently and we know that the sc1 maps were made specifically for sc1 and the sc2 remakes are basically just shots in the dark for sc2. it could happen that they're good for both games but it seems better to invest in maps that are made specifically for sc2

+ Show Spoiler + Of course I'm not serious - great podcast as ever, love the banter, love iNcontroL (although not like a bear), Huk was nice and active in the conversation. Nony I like having on because when he speaks, it tends to be something either funny, or really worth hearing. Artosis is good as an every-now-and-then guest I think - his arguementative nature prompts discussion. Bringing him on every week might be a bit much. That said, I miss Day9 as he tends to argue the 'other side' of things often.

Will Idra be invited to the show anytime soon? he's probably been mentioned more than a dozen in all the shows so far.

BW maps are designed for BW and may not work for SC2. Point in case: Destination. HORRIBLE map for SC2. However others have turned out to be exciting and translate well such as Match Point. What these maps DO show us however is what translates into SC2 and what does not. In essence it shows the mapmakers out there what to look for in SC2 maps and what to avoid. But I agree that we need to focus more on original maps vs. BW remakes. The only remake we have done in the last month or so has been God's Garden which I personally thought was a really important remake to try. It has a lot of neat features that can help us figure these things out. How does unbluildable terrain affect the game? How does a "free" expansion affect the game? How does only having three easy bases and REALLY hard 4th+ bases affect the game? We will be focusing more on original maps and already have, I hope to get that 25% of remakes in the next 4-5 months down to 10% or less. There is not many more maps that are worth converting. But the BW remakes helped us figure out A LOT of things to improve our original maps.

Idk if it's not possible or not a good idea for some reason, but tasteless on the cast would be awesome imo.

Artosis calling out HuK on Collosus vs roach comment. Artosis winning discussion vs Geoff on the new map. I was enjoying the discussion on what makes protoss so easy to learn but hard to get really good at. Wish they HuK and tyler explain more about what is the hardest part of protoss etc. Myself I think we really have yet to see some huge things like Warp prism warpin of sentry to block ramp while you wreck the base tech with DT's or zealots. Never actually seen anyone do that yet, but sounds so good on paper.

When HuK "bashed" JP and he was pissed off I was almost dying of laughter. Also, bring IdrA and/or TLO back JP, please. ![]()

Colossus are pretty bad against roach, if we take that situation only, with the slow roach attack speed but fast movement speed the colossus micro is totally negated and you might as well be attack moving vs decent micro. However, if you add forcefields and a gateway protoss ground army in front of it, that's a different story. Roach still die a lot slower than hydra though. Test it out. Roaches far outperform hydras against micro'd colossus. If forcefields didn't exist stalker colossus wouldn't really be strong at all, good roach/ling+flanks would crush it like goon/reaver in sc2 vs hydra ling. Artosis is definitely hilarious, if a bit controversial to have on if he's around too often. He's like the anti-nony, who just doesn't give a fuck.

Ofc we are not talking about a pure Collosus vs roach face off. Why the hell is that even brought up. Collosus is allways supported by gateway units....

I actually think Nony and Idra are also great. Day9 is probably my least favorite.
