I also don't really want to hear a dragged out criticism of MLG, but at the same time I feel that it needs to be addressed and it needs to be stressed out just how bad it was and how important it is that it doesn't happen again - even if it's only a 5 minute segment dedicated to that.

What we don't need is 2 hours of ranting about how terrible the stream was and how MLG failed or whatever. I do hope for some good game analysis and stories though. That's fair enough. I just... I don't think they've ever done that in the past. Maybe other people are calling for that now, but I don't think I remember them ever just echoing existing complaints for hours. I think we have little to worry about when it comes to that stuff.

We know nothing, but speaking in front of a crowd of hundreds in a non-vernacular language would be task for a lot of people. I'd like to have somebody who wasn't at the event for a balanced discussion regarding the streaming atrocity. Since JP is employed by them, Day[9] was casting it and iNcontroL and Tyler were too busy playing in it, I doubt they will have much to say about the streaming, although iNcontroL will almost certainly talk about the drops from his games.

I don't think someone talking about the stream would be very interesting. It lagged, crashed, went offline for hours, not a very broad topic. Maybe if they somehow got someone on who was involved with the stream they could explain why it failed so badly, that would be worth a segment.

I listen to SotG for perspective from pro players that I don't have. I want to hear about competing in the event, I want to hear analysis of players, especially ones that we didn't get to see, I want to hear about gameplay trends. I'd much rather hear interesting commentary than spend time pumping my fist in the air, shouting "YEAH I AGREE IT TOTALLY SUCKED"

+ Show Spoiler + he went 26-2 and only losing 2 matches in the finals the stress that build up must have been intense even if he was winning

There were like 3 interviews, and everytime after the hold said their congrats, Nani slipped away awkwardly. Funniest was with Faruq(sp?). Even his NASL video was weird to watch. But good thing being good at interviews has nothing to do with skill. Naniwa is a beast.

Also @DystopiaX, I know for sure at least one event last year had really horrible tech problems that caused the same sort of issues we experienced this past weekend such as major delays and stream instability.

They will address it. There's no way they won't. I'd actually like to hear the perspective of the casters as well as how the stream problems affected the live audience and tournament. I don't know how it looked at the event because I wasn't there. This MLG was a disaster. Not talking about what went wrong is like removing the loss total from battlenet.

Like SlayerS_MMA in the GSTL, he's like a Terran hope and possibly the next Jaedong of SC2 and the only person who said anything was JP trying to give him attention and everyone else ignored it. And considering the finals was PvP and all they've been talking about for ages is about how PvP sucks and yadda yadda I really don't think it'd be interesting to keep on the PvP subject. PvP is the ZvZ of SC2, and it's not going change unless warp-in changes to give more defenders advantage. Get over it lol Zergs in BW had to deal with the fact that they could only make lings and Mutas and every ZvZ ended in 10 minutes. It sucks but "That's Starcraft! (^_^);"

I don't think the SotG guys really can talk about all of it since they were all there and half of them were still working. Of course it sucks their games got postponed for an hour or two and they had to buy time, but this was the worst gaming weekend I can remember since CyberXGames and it's a shame cause I planned my weekend around it. All they can really talk about is battle.net going down, but the problems were much more expansive than that. At the end of the day, everyone involved wasted a large part of their weekend but at least everyone on SotG got paid.

I get bored very quickly by their "how MLG failed talks" and how it will improve. Also why Blizzard didn't implement Lan talks.... so I hope they address it and move on. Its not entertaining to say what even idiots already know. I'd rather hear Tyler talk about protoss strategy and game analysis, he puts the rest of the SC2 universe to shame with the detail and accuracy of his insights.
