Look I think CatZ hit the nail on the head. Make jokes like these in private, do it amongst friends who understand you. But when you are a representative, willing or not, for a community which in many respects is still trying to grow and still trying to attract new people. Don't make jokes or statements that may end up offending a large proportion of community.
I was offended because I hate the way men continually objectify and degrad women, It's not ever about their skill or demeanor, it's always about how good they look, whether they are "easy" (which was an implicit aspect of 2gds comments). Im offended when people don't accept others or make fun of others for the choices they make. I hate oppression of all sorts whether it be religious, racial, sexual etc.
I made the comment before, but I want to make it again. The SC community and the E-sports community has an opportunity to say it doesn't matter if your a women, if your gay, straight. Transgendered, bisexual, asexual. It doesn't matter if your Muslim, Christian, Hindu, Odinist. atheist or Sikh. It doesn't matter what you do or where you come from. In E-sports the only thing that matters is that you like E-sports.
If we truly want to grow into a respectable community, why can't be start off with the basics. #Respect.

Looked it up because I had never heard of it. That was actually really great.

I agree with this part. It doesn't matter if you're *whatever*, people should be able to make jokes about it anyway. Now the question is "are the jokes any good?".
As far as 2GD goes I've watched enough of him to find his sense of humour simply horrible. I strongly prefer not to watch him and I can understand anyone who does the same. But this should not be the reason to grant a global ban on jokes.
Anyone should make a joke about guys being brainless horny studs. Anyone should be able to make a joke about asexual people being kinda strange. Neither is true and you should know it (unless you're a brainless horny stud ). If the joke is good it holds, if it is bad - down it goes. It should be as simple as that.

Yeah, because what I want from a Drunk SOTG is people being politically correct and not talking how they feel, oh wait, it is exactly what I don't want. #Respect... ...for 2GD

I wonder how many people are really offended or just internet offended. Internet offended is just offended enough to post about how you are offended on the forum, but not offended enough to change any part of your life or stop listening to the show. It is basically the middle school girl version of the word "hate". Just enough to talk about it, but change nothing.
Seriously, of the nearly 10,000 people who tuned in, it seems like only a few are bent out of shape. The rest of us are getting ready for work today.

Okay, can people stop saying 'choose' to be offended. I haven't even listened to the podcast so I have no comment about whether the actual situation was absolutely horrible or completely harmless or anywhere in between, but please stop making such shitty arguments. Being offended is not a choice, it's an instinctive reaction. This doesn't mean those who feel offended are in the right (lots of people get offended by unquestionably positive things because it goes against what they've learned and internalized), but let's not pretend that when people feel affected by an insult, a joke or a poor choice of words, they're literally sitting there browsing their list of emotions before carefully selecting a negative one.
I mean, it seems people have somewhat corrupted this whole concept of 'take the high road'/'don't let it bother you' that people who feel wronged are often advised to do. The entire point of ignoring comments and actions that hurt you or someone you care for is because it's easier and takes less effort in the end - it's for the benefit of the person who takes offense. If they don't want to or are unable to let it go, however, they are completely in their right to voice their disapproval. The right to speak your mind goes both ways, and just like anyone has a right to make a mildly tasteless holocaust joke or whatever, it's also perfectly fine to call that person an asshole and dismiss them as such. And there's a difference between jokes and humor on topics that can cause offense, but don't actually disparage an individual or a minority, nor makes them the butt of the joke (like a lot of Carlin's material) and one that's clearly at the cost of someone else (like all the racist jokes of old, or 'hurr hurr Scarlett's a man heh'). Saying that anyone who takes offense to the latter are just choosing to be offended, or should just deal with it, is just trying to escape any kind of consequence of your actions. Yeah, it shouldn't be illegal, yeah, you shouldn't be punished for it (although on private websites/property it's another matter), but you can't act wronged if individuals or groups declare you an asshole/unwanted for doing it - that's just taking responsibility for your actions. Yet somehow, it's become a Thing on the internet that if anyone feels that a joke or some banter is hurtful, they should just shut up about it and learn to ignore it, as if you have the right to do whatever you want without anyone disliking it and voicing their opinion.
As for the Steve Hughes piece, it completely misses the point (and as a side-note, what the fuck is it with people on the internet giving so much credit to comedians like Hughes or Louis CK when they talk about complex social or legal issues? They're comedians people! They're probably even more clueless than you and me, and that takes some doing!). For an easy counterexample, society doesn't generally tolerate bullying or harassment, even though those can be 100% verbal/non-physical activities. This all comes from this ridiculous view, that's still mostly prevalent even in the west, that mental health is some sort of secondary issue, not a real issue. That anyone who suffers from insanity or depression or some other mental issue are either entirely personally responsible for it, or had it from birth, and it's no-one else's problem. And his examples! 'That guy made a joke about the lord, I'm so offended!' Are you fucking kidding me? This guy didn't go for the low-hanging fruit, he got it fucking served on a platter by a master-chef. Why didn't heuse 'That guy said all N***ers should work in the fields, I'm so offended!' or equivalent, do you think? Perhaps it would be because the audience might not laugh so loudly, or at all. But that's okay! His job is to make them laugh, and so he does - good on him! He's got no reason to take it further. But please don't use his fucking stand-up routine as a serious argument.

Probably because TL is held to way higher standards than bashing a transsexual.

Yes, yes. Everyone who has a problem with anything you say is a nerd who's constantly taking a puff from their inhaler while they type furiously in rebuttal to your post. Excellent and original retort.

Check Twitch site. It's pretty crushed VoD since the stream went down few times.
But just like last year, uploading something on youtube (which lasts 4-5hours) is going to take a while.
