IdrA says the game is poorly designed and it makes for boring games but except in a small subset of occasions he advises Terrans to turtle, give up on trying to contain creep (and then don't go on creep), and wait for the Zerg super army to show up.
That is a broken matchup.
I think to clarify, Idra says to give up on containing creep in the early game because it requires too much resources and there would be enough queens to replace missing tumors anyway.
And to be specific, he said to not push on creep as it's generally a bad idea. That's why he advises for Terrans to go heavy Bio so they can harass Zerg's economy and split up Zerg's army so they can clean up that creep later on in the game.
I had never even heard of Avilo before this show. And telling a person to shut the fuck up in a debate, no matter how bad one party is doing, is both bad mannered and immature. Also i play protoss, not terran. I have a problem with this kind of behaviour, nothing else.

Well idra isn't his teacher, nor is a top player. And i actually do consider all human beings to be equal. Strange thought, i know.
IdrA IS a top player. Especially if you compare him to Avilo. The difference in not only but skill but also (and most importantly) experience is huge. If an amateur tries to argue with an expert, it's going to be a waste of everyone's time (except for novelty/entertainment value, which is the reason he was brought on in the first place).
Well since ive never seen Avilo play i will agree that Idra is most likely alot better than him. But calling Idra a "top" player, is very very far from the truth. Sure, he was a top foreigner in BW, if not THE top foreigner. But not in sc2 mate.

I agree... but the line needs to be drawn at some point when people insist on complaining over and over about it, and trying their best to blow it out of proportion. Avilo talked over IdrA, and IdrA told him to shut the fuck up and called him terrible at the game. Yeah, that's not professional. Yeah, that's not the best way to handle the situation. Still... it's not a big deal. Please stop treating it like one and please stop trying to victimize Avilo as if they all ganged up on him and spent the entire time throwing insults.
Idra insulting isn't what crossed the line, that's within viewers expectation. What really crossed the line was the constant background laughter, the pre-invitation bashing, incontrol's interruption, and hanging up on a guest. This whole situation would have not blown up like it did if they pay attention to what their guest is saying, or simply end the discussion and give a shoutout to avilo before hanging up on the call.
Hell, probably just saying something along the line of "this discussion isn't going anywhere, lets move on. Thanks for coming Avilo" would have completely averted this drama

If you bring someone to a show, treat them equal to your other, more established guests, JP. All that trolling / editing of picture you do in your show seems childish to me but its your style and i sometimes enjoy it, but seriously that was just fucking disgusting, no question of style, no question of pre-history of avilo-Idra, just pathetic. Was truly surprised as i Always enjoyed SOTG.

There's a saying in Finland (mostly used in the obligatory military service): "paska valuu alaspäin", which could be translated roughly as "shit pours downwards". Incontrol gets a lot of shit from his play, so he kindly pours it downwards. If someone like Beastyqt (some would argue he whines almost as much as Avilo) was on the show, there is no fucking way Incontrol would have tried to demean him. Idra would have still said shut the fuck up no doubt, but Geoff would never do that to a guy who could 100-0 him. In that sense Incontrol's statements about "mocking everyone" is pretty lol.
