People here are just so genuinely ungrateful and are always looking for something to complain and get angry about. It's always amusing to see what people think they are entitled to when in reality all they do is get angry and try to stir up some trouble to feel like they actually matter. Whether or not people genuinely just want to stir up trouble or just simply feel important I cannot say. People seem to forget that JP does not have to do SOTG on a weekly basis or at all for that matter if he so chooses, the show he put together tonight was a last minute gig to try and provide something for the fans, but of course this community has to whine and protest that their free content wasn't up to their absurdly high standards Charge PPV for SOTG and ironically I guarantee that all of these haters and whiners would be non existent considering they are either to god damned stingy to pay and or to young. I just hope amongst all the idiots JP can recognizes that some people really truly do enjoy SOTG for what it is and appreciate everything he and the other hosts do for our community. If you think the SC2 community is bad, you probably haven't ever posted in a sports forum / car forum lol. I'm a long time car fanatic, and believe me, the shit that is going down here is nowhere close to what happens all the time in other communities. The SC2 community is very mannered in comparison to other groups (where having multiple team fanclubs on one site would result in total anarchy and burning servers).

I think they managed to stay objective by having Geoff control the questioning and JP mainly sat back and let Geoff ask the questions the community wanted to hear. I'd like to think I'm a good judge of objectivity having grown up on BBC reporting. Good work! ![]()

The thing is though, even if it's better than other places, it doesn't make it 'good'. It should be a lot better.

People are mad because you are calling this show "State of the Game" when it was just a 40 minute interview promoting/reporting on the events of MLG. That is 100% unfair to your loyal viewers of SotG and they don't deserve you raging at them at all. Gotta agree with this. State of the Game is a show where multiple things are discussed by multiple people to get different opinions on whats currently happening in esports but the latest "show" was just an interview with Sunny D and Lee Chen.

Practically every player, caster and executive in the entire SC2 scene has said at least once that the community seems to be largely comprised of ungrateful/biased babies, trolls and idiots. It is actually disgusting. The internet wasn't anywhere near this bad 4-5 years ago. The internet was exactly the same 4-5 years ago. As for the Starcraft community, it's something that comes inseparable from popularity and exposure. More and more people who follow the scene begin acting like "consumers" and "fans" rather than community members. On the other hand, people who are actively working in the scene distance themselves and start acting like journalists, businessmen, "personalities" or star athletes rather than community members themselves. In the end, fans of Starcraft are the same as fans of anything else, people who make money off of Starcraft are just the same as people who make money off of anything else, and the relationship between them is the only thing that it can possibly be. Both "sides" should just face the reality of it instead of expecting the other side to be identical to what it was 3 years ago and being perpetually disappointed when it becomes apparent that they too have changed with the times. Afterall, isn't this what we always wanted? ESPORTS.

As a loyal viewer, I actually liked the show, and think that it had a lot to say about the current State of the Game, and also the future of the game. This is huge, and people are getting upset because it's "Talking about MLG".

Thank you for bringing your boss onto an advertisement for a paid stream your company will be putting on next week. We should feel privileged to tune in to listen to your commercials.

The show was literally planned 15 minutes prior to going on air and I'm in NYC with zero SotG assets except for the vid intro and intro/outro music -- no art. Production was terrible but the content was there and I would of rather have the exclusivity (LOL) / timeliness of the topic rather then waiting a week to discuss it. The idiocy and pure bullshit this community feeds its personalities makes people want to quit on a daily basis. If I didn't have friends on the show that made me enjoy it and was just doing this myself, I would of quit long, long ago. Lay off the fucking kool-aid and think for yourself rather then joining the mob, getting pitchforks, and making people / tournaments / organizations drop all interactivity on social media. Look who's calling others ungrateful. Probably the only caster in any major tournament who is there solely because of his connections and not of how good he is at casting. Yes many casters are here cause they knew the right people, but most of them have huge talent too. I cant say the same for you JP, please dont call us ungrateful and expect your shinny house to stay undented

Some people need to just appreciate what we get, rather than criticising it because it's not what they wanted. Sure, it wasn't the greatest SOTG episode of all time, but at least it happened.

Its pathetic really but what can you do. I don't see how this episode hurt anyone in anyway but some idiots feel entitled and think that the show should discuss what they think it should discuss. Maybe you guys can create your own show. And dont worry there will be plenty of idiots left to flame you for it as well. Pathetic.

There's a reason why a lot of the top personalities in the esports scene just refuse to even post on forums. People who want to bitch are always more vocal than those who enjoy the product. It's frustrating and annoying, but you need to stop validating the whiners. Read it and move on.
