Basically threads calling out the show calling it biased and a corporate shill got really popular and had a lot of support. People saying that it's always been a front for MLG etc etc.... never mind the fact that if you actually take the number of minutes per every show devoted to MLG it'd probably even out pretty well with other events. Probably should have gone ahead and called it an interview, but SOTG is JP and incontrol in many ways, so it makes sense to use the title still for a special one-off. The worst part about this is that a site like screddit is really useful for content aggregation during major events, little interviews and features that won't pop up on TL's front page and gets buried in the forums, but when little is happening it turns into heinous, heinous shit.

Oh yeah dude 100% agreed, I actually don't visit that sub-reddit anymore. It has become such a shit fest of hate the past few months. I would recommend JP not visit that site either, or at least not actively read the stuff there.

The problem is that it loves to pick up pitchforks and is a great front for very vocal minorities. I liked the episode JP. Don't listen to the idiots, just keep going. Only people with something to complain about will write.

A huge part of this community is to simple-minded to actually just look at what you do/who you are. They expect you to be this amazing unbiased host who listens to the hive-mind and does what it says. Quite frankly, it's embarrassing reading many of the comments here and on TL. This show is supposed to be a way for us to get insider views (2 top casters, 2 pro's, and a guy who works for MLG) on the happenings on the show. If he can get an interview with the head of the top of the biggest tournament? Fuck yea, I'll eat that shit up. Anyway, thanks to JP and all the hosts who just talk about the stuff they love. Nope, it's not always the most professional looking podcast people, but it doesn't need to be when the hosts are so chill.

It's high time you realized that the interaction you get with SC2 players and personalities is a privilege. If you can't get that through your head, then everyone is simply going to distance themselves from the community like every other professional business does. I dont feel entitled to anything and i find it quite hillarious just becuase people like me see right true this PR stunt from JP and his MLG employer that im an asshole?? Really? Well excuse me ill just stay quite so you fanboys can enjoy this amasing piece of journalistic professionalism.

He'd be brainlessly downvoted by an internet lynch mob who are currently mid-rage. Maybe he could post it in a week and he'd get a few supporters but at the moment the idiocy would drown him numerically and most likely enrage him more.

He tweeted that it would be a short impromptu show with Geoff and Sundance to discuss yesterday's news. Did you honestly expect a completely candid interview with Sundance wherein he reveals every bit of detail of the agreement between MLG and Kespa? To be fair, there was quite a bit of questions that were answered on the show and I'm glad they put it on this week. Hopefully this wont be the last show JP does.

The supposedly large portion of the community who enjoys it needs to be very vocal about it. Practically every player, caster and executive in the entire SC2 scene has said at least once that the community seems to be largely comprised of ungrateful/biased babies, trolls and idiots. It is actually disgusting. The internet wasn't anywhere near this bad 4-5 years ago.

People seem to forget that JP does not have to do SOTG on a weekly basis or at all for that matter if he so chooses, the show he put together tonight was a last minute gig to try and provide something for the fans, but of course this community has to whine and protest that their free content wasn't up to their absurdly high standards Charge PPV for SOTG and ironically I guarantee that all of these haters and whiners would be non existent considering they are either to god damned stingy to pay and or to young. I just hope amongst all the idiots JP can recognizes that some people really truly do enjoy SOTG for what it is and appreciate everything he and the other hosts do for our community.

I just got done listening to the mp3 a while ago and came by the thread to check out what people were saying. I see this raging post from JP and it threw me off. As far as I know 95% of the people around here seem to like SOTG very much (and of course there is the vocal minority of people who don't). That's exactly the reason people have been complaining about it's inconsistency. It may sound like entitlement or bitching but really it's a huge compliment to SOTG and everyone on it. If so many people complain about not having something you're providing them with then it means you're doing a great job with the quality of the content. I like an appreciate SOTG. Thanks to JP and everyone who makes that happen.

The "show" was going to be a quick one-off about a huge thing that happened in the world of eSports yesterday, and then you shit on him and the "show" because he can't answer (business wise) the questions iNcontrol asked. The show was literally planned 15 minutes prior to going on air and I'm in NYC with zero SotG assets except for the vid intro and intro/outro music -- no art. Production was terrible but the content was there and I would of rather have the exclusivity (LOL) / timeliness of the topic rather then waiting a week to discuss it. The idiocy and pure bullshit this community feeds its personalities makes people want to quit on a daily basis. If I didn't have friends on the show that made me enjoy it and was just doing this myself, I would of quit long, long ago. Lay off the fucking kool-aid and think for yourself rather then joining the mob, getting pitchforks, and making people / tournaments / organizations drop all interactivity on social media. JP, I love the show and am grateful for everything you and everyone else has done on the show. The show is great and I love the content, chemistry and downright badassery that happens every time it airs. Even when SotG went on hiatus, I didn't feel the need to complain because I know that even a 2-3 hour show takes even longer prep work and you guys deserved a break. I guess what I'm trying to say is that there will always be those that are spoiled, ungrateful fucks, but there are those quiet people that enjoy every second of work you put into what you do. Thank you <3

As much as the with hunts and bullshit like that goes on, the overly dramatic crap is just as bad. Overcompensating is the worst thing anyone can do in a situation like this and JP just went off the deep end with it.
