The show was literally planned 15 minutes prior to going on air and I'm in NYC with zero SotG assets except for the vid intro and intro/outro music -- no art. Production was terrible but the content was there and I would of rather have the exclusivity (LOL) / timeliness of the topic rather then waiting a week to discuss it.

Very professional response JP.

What a bunch of self-entitled jackasses in here. There wasn't going to be a SotG today but the opportunity arose to get some quick comments from MLG about the recent news, Geoff was the only regular able to make it. JP tweeted about this so if you're really a giant fan of SotG you probably should have seen it or shortly after seen that the vod is ready. He let Geoff ask the questions because JP himself has inside info and Geoff is probably more likely to be motivated grill something out. How about instead of shitting on JP for making an interview we be thankful that JP and iNcontroL took some time to do it.
Thanks, JP, Goeff, Sundance, and Lee, for taking some time out your Friday to speak to the community. I don't know how you can manage it but some of us appreciate it.

The SC2 community will ruin itself one day. People are going on witch hunts daily and hurting the scene rather than helping it.

I don't think you should judge the whole community by the small fraction that is drawn to these threads. Most people appreciate what you do, we're just not very vocal about it.

Hey JP, I try to defend you when I can because I do respect what you do; however my opinion and those like it are flooded out by handful of posters who for the lack of a better term are idiots. Personally, I'd recommend on the next SOTG you bring this up first thing and say that,
(One) this is free, makes no money, and is done purely to support the community (Two) you try to accommodate players and your schedule as often as possible. Given the busy nature of esports right now, this is very hard to do. (Three) You're not a platform for MLG. You have inside connections and can call up Sundance. Also because you work for MLG, and most of the pillars attend it, you have to talk about it more given that you were there.
And most importantly you need to state this in the most serious tone possible. Don't laugh it off just because these opinions are stupid, because hopefully the seriousness of the statement should convince them you mean what you say. This needs to stop. After each SoTG this year there is way too much bitching and if I can recommend one more thing you should PM the mods about policing this thread a little more.
Anyways, just my two cents. Keep making the episodes, I really appreciate them.

How do you "allow" JP to continue doing his show? He's the one that puts in the production work along with some overlays from someone (shoutout to unknown stranger), some fan made theme songs from over a year ago, and, of course, the cohosts and guests. It's JP who makes this show happen.

You should never respond to trolls, that has never helped. It will always be the case that the haters will be the most vocal ones. The people that enjoy the show (the majority) mostly doesn't comment because they like it as it is. Just refrain form posting something like this, because it just encourages trolls to do more of these posts. Lastly, the guys that just flame you are probably people that don't give a shit about anything, they just want to flame for the sake of flaming. Again, don't judge the community by the haters. Cheers.

I feel you man. Sometimes I feel this community can be one of the most entitled communities out there; expecting everything handed to them on a silver plate and be allowed to spit on it because it wasn't a gold plate.. All I can really say is that remember the negative (sometimes jackass troll) minority are much more vocal than the appeased majority. I know at this point that has become a cliche, but I mainly wanted to respond to your post to acknowledge the work you for this community and that it doesn't go unappreciated. Just remember for every hater you perceive out there, you got 5 more people who enjoy what your doing. Hell even half of those haters enjoy what you're doing, they just also enjoy the power-trip they get by fucking nonchalantly bashing everything that they can (hence they're just fucking dicks).

Sometimes I think this community sucks, then I visit another community for some other game and then I just think, "holy shit the internet sucks now". I dont know why, but it really does. I basically only post here on TL now because at least here the posts get moderated often and people actually get banned.
Thanks for the show JP, keep doing what youre doing. It is understandably difficult to get the show going reliably with people that are constantly busy around different parts of the planet.
I mean seriously... Day9 in california doing his daily and tons of other stuff for the game and community Geoff practicing and doing shows and doing a lot of stuff in the community (and from what I can tell, stuff with the team) in arizona (I think?) Artosis in korea playing, commentating and watching everything SC2 related Tyler moving and practicing
All of that on top of tons of events to plan and go to etc. Its hard and people are just stupid on the internet and dont think.

Then why did he go on the show in the first place? He knows who incontrol is and knows that he is not afraid to ask difficult questions. The way he went about it all was extremely unprofessional and quite insulting to you and the listeners if you ask me. Posts on the forums BY HIMSELF without actually answering shit. Tweets without answering shit. And when he is brought on a show in what seems slightly like damage control, he does so on his cell phone, constantly breaks in and out. And then finally just hangs up leaving Lee to answer any and all remaining questions. He created the mob with all his little cryptic messages, and now he should have to deal with that mob. Especially with that disrespectful display today.
Of course, a vast majority of posters in this thread are extremely wrong to attack you and the show. They should be thanking you for attempting to bring us a clear answer to a community bomb that was dropped. Especially to do this after you had already announced no show and when you had to do MLG TV in an hour or so and get prepared for that.

I get that the show wasn't the usual 48 hour marathon we are used to, but I still enjoyed what I got.

@SOTG I care
Aren't they still doing a D3 show? So this is pretty much extra content... I see no reason to be unwelcoming.
