Hey TL,
I recently completed an interview with a SC2 commentator, PsyStarcraft, and he uploaded it to his channel. He's pretty entertaining to watch and a good Zerg player too
Check it out, tell me what you think

Two 2.93GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon “Westmere” (12 cores) + 32GB RAM + Four 512GB Solid-State Drives + Two ATI Radeon HD 5770 1GB + Two Apple LED Cinema Display (27" flat panel) + Quad-channel 4Gb Fibre Channel PCI Express card

His youtube channel is at http://www.youtube.com/user/PsyStarcraft

Part two:

Nice interview! I have been following Psy for a long time, and he has seriously been consistently cranking out high quality stuff throughout the beta. The straight up quality of both is analysis and gameplay combined with some excellent humor sets him apart from the majority of other casters you will find out there.

Definitely one of the major Gurus of the swarm, and I wish him all the best in this exciting time we have in front of us. Would love to see him get even more into the competitive scene though, he has been playing on par with some very strong players, but we know that there is a leap up from being top diamond to actually be a consistently strong player in tournaments.
forgottendreams: One underage girl, two drunk guys, one gogo dancer and starcraft 2. Apparently just another day in Europe.

Nice interview.

He has a good voice and gives solid, concise answers.. an overall enjoyable interview!

I didn't like that he was inspired to be a commentator by thinking less of the commentators he watched.. also asking him what it takes to become a SC2 pro is an odd question to ask a guy who isn't and never was (no dig at him).

yh i found that a bit weird but i guess you have to give your two cents if a person ask you a question in an interview .

Psy is the man. Blunt with a sicko humour, and in his other video's he does recognise hes no pro by any means, although he does compete in the open tournament. Plus he's taken down Moo and some other big names, which kinda shows his high level insight into the game. Funny funny man as well

thanks for the interview! psy is an amazing commentator. what makes him so good is not only does he have good mic presence, he is truly a high level player with great understanding of mechanics. i would love to see him either playing in or casting some tournaments (now that he's quit his shitty job).

It is great to see all this SC2 content getting out there. What is your background as a interviewer though, have you done any others?

I come from an FPS background so I mainly interviewed known people in the FPS fragmovie scene of Counterstrike, Quake 3 and Halo 2/3 so Psy was my first Strategy game interviewee. It's that background that made me want the form of intro, main body and funny credits since a lot of fragvids are like that and I hadnt seen it in a SC2 interview yet

Yeah man, give him some props and plug his channel.

I've been watching psy since a few weeks into the beta. Watched all his vids, very funny and some pretty good insight :D

Also been thinking about swapping to zerg, and will probably go through with it cause i know i have psy's tutorials as a bit of backup and reference :D

I like how he is just a regular diamond player guy. He knows he needs to work on some aspects of his game (creep tumors), like we all do. I feel like im watching myself and thats almost more useful than watching the 'pros'.

Psy is great! He definitely fills a niche as far as commentators go, he's a great Zerg player and instead of commentating on pros play he commentates his own games as a learning tool.

My favorite caster as well, its nice to listen to someone who isnt going overboard with being analytical (sorry, I dont think throwing down that building 4 seconds later, or getting that unit 5 secs later, or similar is gamebreaking most of the time..), has some weird ass humor (love it) and does pretty decent in the ladder, whilst playing relatively relaxed

That is exactly what i was thinking.
I was depressed when he wasnt in the HDH#1 but now i have an underdog to root for.

Of course if he doesn't somehow manage to Beat every top Sc2 player, i will once again cheer for IdrA!!

But seriously, he is way good. Decent even.

Have you just been lurking on the TL forums all this time without having an account? XD

I know you talk about TL in your videos all the time and have been very involved in watching and producing content, so it sort of surprised me that this was your first post. Or is this just another account?

PsY, thanks for all the great videos throughout the beta. One of my buddies told me about your channel and since then, between you and Day[9], I've learned so much more about how to approach Starcraft than in 9 years playing on my own. I love to play random, but everything I know about zerg I learned from you. Good luck in your casting and playing future!

Yes! Glad to see you accept the challenge! We'll be behind you all the way - you know, maybe even sexually, if you perform well :D
Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds!

Glad to see Psy in the HDH2. I've been following his progress since before he switched Youtube channels and his channel is very informative for Zerg players. Great way to learn the ins and outs of Zerg, whether you are playing as them or learning how to play against them.

Since PsY is so goddamn ShY and don't create his own thread here I will do a little necro to point y'all to PsY's match commentary #100 which features an interesting match against Azz.

What I would like to cheer about is that this cast imo really highlights that PsY is continuing to grow in his commentating skills, and I will still say he is THE commentator to follow for all us budding zerg players who want to learn more about the game.

Congrats on your #100 PsY, and good luck further on!
forgottendreams: One underage girl, two drunk guys, one gogo dancer and starcraft 2. Apparently just another day in Europe.
