Why not jump Blizz's ass more about bigger non-issues? I swear people today have 0 patience and if a game developer doesn't answer their ever single crybaby demand they threaten to boycott and rant about how "Blizz is killing sc, omg whhaaaa" Seriously, grow up, and learn to think logically. Blizz barely has the SC servers stable as it is. Do you really think that having the publisher set to "unlimited upload" during beta is a good idea? I don't. It would just be another layer of complications before release. Do you really think blizz would put out such a powerful editor, and then have such limits on publishing that it was useless? NO. It seems pretty obvious to me that this is simply a feature that is not yet finished. A huge surprise considering we are still in phase 1 of beta.

As I watch BW more and more, I really think SC2 doesn't have the chance to do for the west what Broodwar did in Korea. The UMS are going to appeal to the masses FAR more.

Seriously with UMS like this SC2 will be more addictive than Wow. That cheers me up after the bad news about BNet2.0. Ok i was happy now you destroyed my good mood, BNet will even make UMS hard to distribute? ![]() So many bad news my faith is shaking. ![]()

Who ever made this should make it so that theres 6-12 players in a game atleast(on a huge map), each one gets their own character and then just make it like a MMORPG but with Final Fantasy-style combat system. Soooo sick!! EDIT: Im so hard right now

How do you know that is the limit in future and not just temporary barrier for beta? How do you know there won't be premium map designer account, which has way higher limits? I can't imagine such system not having the ability to increase these limits easily, so why come to these stupid conclusions and repeat them over and over and over again.

Mad props to the creator! EDIT: I know FF isn't a turn-based strategy, but the fact that this game utilises a turn-based mechanic means that TBS games are possible.

Looks pretty cool IMHO, there's surely gonna be lot's of amazing stuff like that in the future of SC2. I guess user-made content will be better than SC2 itself. ^^'

Oh like chatrooms ba da shaaa =p to me sc2 was always about the ums, sure me and my friends will play regular games but we mostly play non blizzard maps for melee matches and ums maps when no one wants to play anything and frankly I've seen disappointments one after another by blizzard for their map system. The only thing they did right was the built in power of the map editor, but the limits on their "publish" database is severely harmful, along with the lack of presentation and organization of the data base. There is also a possibility even if they custom textured it and sounds there would be copyright claims becuase of their stupid map marketplace, also you forget all the maps must fit blizzard guide lines along with their idiotic censors that block god, xbox, black etc. So don't rag on me i'm just following up on what blizzard has been doing with the beta, fixing small things but ignoring what the audience really wants out of b.net 2.0

My thoughts exactly. But I do think that map developers should be able to apply for some sort of license from blizzard to allow a specific map to be larger than the maximum size. This way we won't end up with large map spam; but it won't discourage ambitious developments like this one. Of course, this puts more responsibility onto blizzard and I'd rather see them put time into developing chat rooms. Oh wait...

do you really want maps to have no size limit? Actually I don't :D. It could be a issue and exploitable. But I'd like on that caps at ~125 mb instead of 10 mb.
