Is there a way to draw a plot of worker count vs game time? Like the APM line graph, but instead of instantaneous APM, it shows the current number of workers for each user throughout the entire game. If not, can you add this? It would be awesome!

Also, if you could do a similar thing for floating larva, that would be even more awesome. :D

EDIT: BTW, just wanted to add that the amount of work you've put into SC2 Gears so far is amazing! Kudos to you, man!

When I load SC2 gears, it prompts me that there is an update, but when I click "update", the program just closes and does nothing. Any ideas what's wrong?

If you rename your folder to remove spaces, auto-update will run. Once you have version 7.0, this error will not occur again.

if sc2gears is aware of the ladder seasons (somewhat), can you add a new tag maybe /S or /s (or something) that outputs the season number into the SC2Rep templates?

Unfortunately not. Replays do not contain enough info to tell the current (alive) units.

Sc2gears is "aware" because the date has been announced. Sc2gears only classifies replays based on dates.

This, with ressource graphic and also the Army Value.

Even if they are available at the end of a game, I like to watch them in Sc2gears better.

Thanks, I'll give it a try. Appreciate the fast response!

Hello, I want to propose following idea, however it might turn out to be extremely hard to implement and perhaps useless for most of the players, yet it's interesting a lot: In multi-replay analysis there could be a function, that could begin to analyze the movement of the units on a particular map and drawing "probability densities" on said maps.

However I am afraid this is beyond the scope of this program and it would need to take Blizz itself to implement such a feature. Yet I couldn't resist to at least toss this idea here

for some reason my sc2gears wont auto save replays (even tho its set to auto save). The entire directory where its suppose to save is correct. Plus the sc2gear voice that says that the replay is saved isnt saying anything.

EDIT: Nvm i fixed it

Here is a small thing:

I was not able to convince the dialog when choosing folders to show me hidden folders. So it was kind of a pain to set up my App Data folder, which is hidden. This is probably an issue only on non-english windows, where you have to actually change the path.

As written 2 posts above this: you can set the default folder to start replay browsing from, and you can use replay sources.

And when doing this, the problem miraculously disappears? The folder is still hidden so you have the same problem, when you are trying to set it up! I am not saying, that it was difficult for me (I just typed it in), but I can see people not knowing how to manage that pretty easily, if they don't understand the U&S structure (like 90 percent of windows users).

True. But those 90% who don't know they can just type in the folder name, they don't use hidden folders...

They don't need to, the implicit folder for SC2 replays is hidden by default. I still feel like we don't understand each other in this respect. SC2 (on W7 at least) saves replays into the "Application data" structure in Users, which is System and Hidden. On non-english Windows, this folder has a localized name, of which Sc2Gears is not aware. When a user does not know crap about all this, how can he possible find his own replays?

Dakota_Fanning can you stop being so awesome ? ^___^ Thanks you, nice update as always !

edit : when viewing player profile in SC2Gears, can you show the ladder Rating ? Because rank doesn't mean anything.

That is not true. On Windows 7 replays are saved in the Accounts folder which is under the user's home folder (which is usually C:\Users). The user home folder is not hidden.

Currently ladder points are not retrieved. But I plan to improve the profile info (to retrieve and display more info).

Okay, I am doubly stupid, it's almost unbelievable. Installing Sc2Gears on 2 PCs at once, I got totally confused on what really the problem is. I am so sorry!

The directory I had trouble to locate was the "SC2 maps folder" which is indeed in a hidden subdirectory of Documents and Settings (on WINXP). Replays are totally fine (or, more exactly, thery were hidden due to me messing up, and that make me to mix those two things up).
