On January 30 there was a news stating that the Sc2gears Database service had issues. These issues arose from a platform service the server used to access the storage layer. It appeared this platform issue had been fixed, but it wasn't. This means that if you uploaded replays or other files since January 15, there is a slight change they did not get stored (error was reported back in these cases). Because of this I developed a double-caching storage mechanism which now provides fail-safe file storing operations. If the primary storage is not available, the uploaded file (e.g. replay) will be stored on a secondary storage which is independent from the primary storage. The secondary storage is not affected by the problem mentioned earlier. The secondary storage is synchronized to the primary automatically in the background. It is recommended to check if you have missing files. The easiest thing is just to re-upload all your replays and mouse prints that you attempted to store since January 16. The server will recognize if you already have the file and will not store it duplicated. Again, the error was not in the code of the Sc2gears Database but in the services that was used by it, but I apologize for the inconvenience anyway. The double-caching storage mechanism will now handle even future errors. The Sc2gears Database operates fail-safe from now on. This is not related to the new version. It doesn't open replays with Korean or Chinese characters in the name for me too. I tried with older releases too, and it's the same. I think it's caused by new Windows updates, probably some character code change. I'll look into it and fix if possible. But the main problem is that Windows doesn't pass these characters to Sc2gears, Windows replaces these characters with question marks. And btw you can rename any number of replays at once in Sc2gears (list the replays, select all, right click, Rename replays...).

You can list them in Sc2gears and you can open them if you choose File menu => Open replay. The only case when you can't open reps with Korean and Chinese characters is if Windows is passing the file name to Sc2gears (for example if you associated Sc2gears with SC2Replay and you double click on them in Windows or you pass them as parameters to Sc2gears.exe).

A few things i would like to see changed/improved. 1. "Delete Auto-saved Replays" if this is ticked, the last replay option doesn't work, maybe it would be possible to change this, by checking the the sc2gears auto-save folder. Same problem with SSSave plugin, as he can't find the replay, sometimes it does and (like 5% of the time), if plugin can get him before sc2gears delete it. 2. When you click oppen new replay, would be great if it will remember you settings, like changing it to details view (as i don't add date to my replays, because i can sort them with windows explorer) , then sort it from new to old. 3. Window size should be the same as i left it before, now i have to resize it every time i want to open a single replay. Thanks ![]()

Most likely you had another instance running and Sc2gears was not able to patch files..

Will check if that's possible. 3. This is already possible. In the Window menu there is a menu item: "Restore last window position on startup". For this to work, disable "Start maximized" (also in the Window menu).

I have a slight issue - whenever a replay shows up i get the voice message "failed to save replay" instead of "replay saved". I go into sc2gears, and it is finding the replay perfectly fine as it automatically pops up in the analyzer, but when i check the folder that sc2gears is supposed to be sending replays to there is nothing there. There seems to be a disconnect between sc2gears receiving the replay and then putting it into the folder. Any thoughts? EDIT: I fixed it.. I think it was the way I was trying to name the replays. Second question though - is there a way to dump a buch of replays into sc2gears so they get filtered, renamed, and put into the archive folder?
