"FIX": This is a minor issue, but just a little niggle I have. If I am searching through my replays and using replay filters ("ZvP metalopolis" etc), I will obtain a list of replays I am interested in. At the top right, in the status bar, I am told we are looking at "15/102 replays" (or something similar). However, if I hit 'Multi-Replay Analysis' I do not open a MRA of those 15 games, but instead I still open a MRA of all 102 replays. In order for me to do a MRA on just those 15 replays I need to select the replays I want, right click, and use the MRA option there.
Iny my opinion it would be easier and more intuitive for the 'Open in Multi-Replay Analysis' button to open only the FILTERED replays, not all of the replays.
---------------------------------------------- New feature idea: "Rate of Mineral / Gas Consumption chart" (i.e. the MACRO graph!)
I envisage the chart would display the rate that minerals&gas is consumed by all sources; workers; units; upgrades; and new buildings. Spending sources could be ticked/unticked, which would allow players to examine specific areas of their play. For example, only ticking the 'workers' box would present a graph of the rate cash is being spent on new workers, allowing a player to identify areas where his worker production slipped. The "rate of" would be numbers over the last 30 seconds (60? tweak as necessary).
Protoss and Terran would expect (or hope, depending on your skill) to see stable worker production (a flat, horizontal line), with clear jumps up as you make additional command centres / nexus. The zerg worker production rates will obviously be more jumpy, but should still follow an overall steady increase for the early/mid part of a game. All races, assuming good macro, would hope to see graphs that display steadily increasing mineral&gas consumption rates until we have reached the mid/lategame. At this point we would hope to see the spending graph plateau, as we maintain the same high level of spending throughout the remainder of the game. If your graph has dips in it, it means that there was a gap in your spending!
I think these charts would be extremely useful in highlighting periods where your macro has slipped, identifying gaps in worker production, or unit production; and lategame it would be obvious if you are not taking additional bases quickly enough as the graph would start to decline as your income (and therefore your spending) decreases. Plus, it is something that is useable by all races. You could even plot your rates against your opponents' rates on the same graph!
-Hairy Good idea both, I'll consider them.

Loving the program, only problem I have is that is doesn't seem to save my replay auto save folder.
I was at first using C:\Starcraft II - Replays and I am currently using C:\Users\Name\Documents\Starcraft II - Replays
The problem I have is that every time after I boot my system it is back at the C:\ one and I have to change it manually again. Is there any reason it does this and can I stop it?

By default settings are auto-saved on exit - when you close the program. I guess you don't close it manually. Either close it, or perform a manual settings save: Settings menu => "Save settings now".

Seems like a great tool, but I can't for the life of me get it to autosave replays...I've enabled autosave under settings, set up the correct target folder ("[random string]\Replays"), and made the SC2Replay folder and Sc2gears Mouse prints folders under C:\...and it still always says "failed to save replay". Anyone have an idea what could be wrong?
Edit: Figured it out, I used " | " in the name template, maybe you should make it more clear that special (retarded) symbols can't be used in the template?

I indeed don't exit the program normally, it gets shut down when I shut down my PC.

Hey sc2gears has a lot of great features.
I've looked around, FAQs, flicking throw the dropdowns, How Tos, and I can't seem to find a certain something which I hope sc2gears has, on top of all its great features.
Is there any way I can check my build order? e.g. 9 Pylon, 12, Gateway, 14 Gas etc.. etc.. There are timestamps on when I built a certain building, my actions on when I made stuff but its not the same.
Thx

Hey guys is there any way to check worker production gap for Terran and Protoss? I thought it would be under the main building control tab in place of the injection gap, but that screen is just blank for T/P players.
|
Just got this program yesterday and I'm really loving it. The only thing that makes me mad is just how many things there are to this program lol. One nice thing is the APM bar I get to have =) And the cute girl's voice after a game is done: "Replay Saved".

Thx The form of 9 Pylon 12 Gateway etc. involves the current supply of the players. Unfortunately this is not stored in the replays and it cannot be calculated without the game engine. So this form of build order is not available in Sc2gears.
What you can list is the build order with time stamps (right click on the chart or on the replay => Show Build Orders Table.

Make sure Trains and Workers are checked above the chart.
You will see many things on the chart now. What you want to do now is filter them to only show workers. To do this: below the action list enable: "Use listed actions as chart input data", and on the right of the action list in the Filter actions, select the "Workers". You will only see worker productions now, and by default the duration is also shown (e.g. how long a wroker is being trained). So you will see where the gaps are.

Thanks, I somehow managed to miss that when looking around for the option in the program.

Hi Dakota_Fanning, will SC2Gears show the EPM/APM in the On-Top APM display ? Since the last patch, the game can now read the two types of APM !

I am using the most recent version of SC2Gears.
My replay search. I hit 'multi-replay analysis' (MRA) after this screenshot. Note that I have 34 games in my filtered search, and only ZvP games.
![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/r0FtL.png)
What I got. Note that I have a total of 87 replays in the MRA, and ZvZ and ZvT are both showing up (it should be ZvP only). Also note my horrible ZvT winratio.

What I SHOULD have got:

This also happens if I have replays selected and hit the Multi-Replay Analysis button. The only way I can get it to do a MRA using only filtered replays is to select the replays I want, right click, and use the MRA button in the right click menu.

I was referring to the replay search where on the "Search filters" tab you specify filters, you perform the search, and you get the results on the Results tab. The "Multi-rep analysis" button analyzes the replays that were passed/presented on the Results tab. I think this is how it should work.
Table filtering only hides rows based on the criteria you provide.

I think the 'Multi-Replay Analysis' button should open only the replays that meet your filter criteria, regardless of whether or not that filtering was done in the "search filters" or the "filter rows" section. You provide the ability to filter in two locations, but then, for some reason, you only consider ONE of those filtering locations to be valid for the purposes of doing Multi-replay Analysis. I don't understand the logic behind that. /shrug

Hi, Dakota!
Any idea what razer registry key APMValue (HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software) means now after patch 1.4.3? I have done some testing and I see this value jump all the way to 800+ when I spam at only about 300-400.
Did Blizzard completely change what this shows?

Is there any way to view development of idle warpgate (or any production facility) time the same way there's a way to view development of larva injection gap time? I think this would be nice in multi-rep analysis but I'm not sure.
