Open the Misc settings dialog, and go to the Aliases tab. You can enter player full names which belong to the same player. To get the full name of a player, right click on his/her name in the Replay analyzer, and choose "Copy full name...".

But I think Kluey was referring to "it's not being displayed". If that is the case, then you should know it only works in "Windowed" or "Fullscreen (Windowed)" modes. It doesn't work in exclusive fullscreen mode.
It's being displayed but stays at 0.

I seem to be having an issue with alias's dropping out every now and then.
For example, I've got about 5-6 names under the same alias, but occasionally I'll have to add a name back in that dropped out.
I also went through and finally did all the map alias for the TW client to translate them into english, however today I load it back up and the alias's are gone, and I have to redo them all again. Any idea's why this may be the case?

You can save settings at any time with the Settings => Save settings now menu item. When you edit your aliases, perform a manual save.
My guess is that you didn't close Sc2gears so Settings did not get saved. But I recommend you to backup your aliases until it is cleared why it was lots to you, so you can restore them easily.

I use Windows 7. APM Alert does not work and I have played a game with the APM value and it stays at 0.

I've been trying to find a way to sort my matches by season, is there anyway to do this? Currently I have been sorting it by the dates of the season themselves, but I am having a problem with that method as well. For example, in season 5 I have my dates set in the filters from 2011-12-18 min and 2012-02-14 12:00:00 max. I played my last season 5 game on 2012-02-14 at 00:25:00 or so. The problem I am having is that even though I didnt play my first season 6 game until 12:49:00 on 2-14, the previous settings will still pick up that season 6 game. Anyone have any ideas on what I should be doing?
Thanks!

Thanks! Unfortunately a season starts on different dates on different servers, and only 1 date is recorded and used to sort replays into seasons. This will give a minor error which I think is not that big of a deal.

I think i broke my sc2gears or something (i am really noob at this) but my sc2gears doesnt auto save replays anymore (it used to but i did something wrong and now it doesnt).
My sc2 folder is on my desktop and my installation folder is set to C:\Users\Steve\Desktop\StarCraft IItw My sc2 auto replay folder is /Documents/StarCraft II/Accounts and my sc2gears replay auto save folder is C:\Documents\StarCraft II\Accounts\Replays. Am i doing something wrong here like selecting a folder within a folder? How should it be set up?

Hi I still have an older Gears it's great to see 9.0 out
However China has walled off Dropbox as of a few months ago.
MediaFire works, although I've also gotten random errors from it once in a while. Ubuntu One works but it requires a client on your side to upload IIRC. There are some Chinese sites like www.115.com or http://www.rayfile.com
Thanks, I'd appreciate it if you (or someone) could provide a working mirror!

Can anyone explain how to show the worker count at any part of the game? or unit list at any part of the game.

Yes, that's folder in folder could be the problem, but it's very easy to test it: just modify your Sc2gears auto-save folder (C:\reps for example) and see if it works then.
Also you can run a diagnostic test (Tools menu).

In the first post there is an "Sc2gears 9.0 for China" link which now points to a mediafire file.

By default this will show you all units, buidlings, researches, upgrades, abilities used in the entire game (you have options to show/hide categories). If you click at anywhere in the replay (either on the chart or in the action list for example), then you will see units/buildings/etc up to the selected time.

I would like to also note that SC2Gears has no way of knowing how many you have, but rather it can tell you how many you have BUILT up to that point. Starcraft replays only contain a list of actions, and so it is not possible to know how many units you actually have without starcraft 2 itself re-creating the game (eg workers could die to enemy units, but it is impossible for SC2gears to know about this).

Sc2gears doesn't seem to pick up my proxy settings. I've tried exporting _JAVA_OPTIONS='-Dhttp.proxyHost ... <jadajada>' and adding the -D options directly to the script but it doesn't work. The JVM says at startup "Picked up _JAVA_OPTIONS: -Dhttp.proxyHost=<ip> -Dhttp.proxyPort=<portnr>" but I still get a socket exception from Sc2gears:
java.net.SocketException: Network is unreachable at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.socketConnect(Native Method) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.doConnect(PlainSocketImpl.java:351) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connectToAddress(PlainSocketImpl.java:213) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connect(PlainSocketImpl.java:200) at java.net.SocksSocketImpl.connect(SocksSocketImpl.java:366) at java.net.Socket.connect(Socket.java:529) at java.net.Socket.connect(Socket.java:478) at java.net.Socket.<init>(Socket.java:375) at java.net.Socket.<init>(Socket.java:189) at hu.belicza.andras.sc2gears.services.InstanceMonitor.checkRunningInstance(InstanceMonitor.java:71) at hu.belicza.andras.sc2gears.Sc2gears.main(Sc2gears.java:63) This is on Linux.

I have a small easy "fix/improvement" request, and a possible new feature that I think people will find useful!
"FIX": This is a minor issue, but just a little niggle I have. If I am searching through my replays and using replay filters ("ZvP metalopolis" etc), I will obtain a list of replays I am interested in. At the top right, in the status bar, I am told we are looking at "15/102 replays" (or something similar). However, if I hit 'Multi-Replay Analysis' I do not open a MRA of those 15 games, but instead I still open a MRA of all 102 replays. In order for me to do a MRA on just those 15 replays I need to select the replays I want, right click, and use the MRA option there.
Iny my opinion it would be easier and more intuitive for the 'Open in Multi-Replay Analysis' button to open only the FILTERED replays, not all of the replays.
---------------------------------------------- New feature idea: "Rate of Mineral / Gas Consumption chart" (i.e. the MACRO graph!)
I envisage the chart would display the rate that minerals&gas is consumed by all sources; workers; units; upgrades; and new buildings. Spending sources could be ticked/unticked, which would allow players to examine specific areas of their play. For example, only ticking the 'workers' box would present a graph of the rate cash is being spent on new workers, allowing a player to identify areas where his worker production slipped. The "rate of" would be numbers over the last 30 seconds (60? tweak as necessary).
Protoss and Terran would expect (or hope, depending on your skill) to see stable worker production (a flat, horizontal line), with clear jumps up as you make additional command centres / nexus. The zerg worker production rates will obviously be more jumpy, but should still follow an overall steady increase for the early/mid part of a game. All races, assuming good macro, would hope to see graphs that display steadily increasing mineral&gas consumption rates until we have reached the mid/lategame. At this point we would hope to see the spending graph plateau, as we maintain the same high level of spending throughout the remainder of the game. If your graph has dips in it, it means that there was a gap in your spending!
I think these charts would be extremely useful in highlighting periods where your macro has slipped, identifying gaps in worker production, or unit production; and lategame it would be obvious if you are not taking additional bases quickly enough as the graph would start to decline as your income (and therefore your spending) decreases. Plus, it is something that is useable by all races. You could even plot your rates against your opponents' rates on the same graph!
