Two of the folders however, have DhcpIpAddress set as my internal IP. How do I know which folder to add the key dword in? Usually the folder with the MOST stuff is the right one.

Should I use QWORD since I'm on a 64-bit? I'm on windows 7 64 bit and I chose the DWORD (32-bit) option and it worked fine.

All it does is add the stuff to your registry for you. Almost 400,000 people have downloaded it. And it comes with a remover and checker to make sure it's working. Very easy, I just did it myself. Big difference.

I think blizzard made a mistake when opting for TCP, but they'll surely prove me wrong anytime soon! ^^ Their servers might need a lot more CPU power to deal with the overhead generated from soooo many (established) connections. Let's hope for the best! ![]()

Incidentally, I don't quite understand why Blizzard insists on having a fixed worst-case latency value (I remember they mentioned that setting this to 250ms was an overkill). In SC1, this value could be set in-game (low latency, high latency, very high latency). Why cannot it be automatically adjusted during the game to suit both players' connections?

For those using Vista, I believe you need to have at least SP1 (or the deployed hotfix) before it will take effect.

No LAN mode here, even if you are on the same physical LAN. I don't see that going over so well. Also I wouldn't count on seeing ICCUP for SC2 any time soon, though if Bnet is good enough who cares. Except one could say that by routing all packets through itself it isn't good enough. We'll see. I certainly haven't noticed any terrible lag issues while playing beta, but I am not very high level.
