anyway, my idea/question is as follows:
if your someone like me, you don't have a sparring partner and playing on the ladder just crushes my moral when i do things like practice my mechanics and such with your exersices daily etc. Honestly some days i think i may be only cut out to just watch SC2 before I destroy my keyboard. So... What is a newbie to do.
Edit: i play protoss for what its worth.
We have a practice partner thread for all leagues in the strategy section.

What league are you? There are a lot of nice people on "Diamond+ Practice" and "SC2 Practice" channels who would be willing to be your "sparring partner". There is already a dedicated thread for finding practice partners here in TL.net!
If you want to practice mechanics without the worry of "playing the game", run custom games against Easy AI and just practice your opening. This is great for hammering out a new build and getting building placement down on maps you're unfamiliar with. You want your opening to be as second nature as possible, so that then you can start doing other 'stuff' (like scouting, throwing down proxy pylons, controlling army).
Also, remember this is a game and that the only thing holding you back from improving is your attitude. So don't feel discouraged or upset when you lose games--that means you have an opportunity to review your mistakes and correct them! Remember what Day[9] said, let the losses come to you.
Funday next week (April 23) use aggressive Planetary Fortress during entire game. 1v1, 2v2, FFA, whatever. Just use PF's in an aggressive manner the whole game.

Definitely go find some practice partner threads, or just create your own! People are always super friendly and willing to help eachother out :D. It's definitely fun to play vs a partner in a controlled environment, and then test it out on the ladder! :D :D :D
Thanks for the awesome lastshadow TvP daily it was really helpful and this strategy especially on ladder ( hard to counter when you don't expect it) is awesome.
I was wondering if you could cast some Mech TvZ soon!
Day[9] braves the daily thread. A soldier on the front lines.
That story about you going to elementary school with food in your mouth was one of the most hilarious things I've ever heard. I've loved the dailies lately. You ought to do one where you play the HotS units custom map!

Well...on the off chance you pop back in here in time to read this....
Have you thought about adding a chat channel on Day9TV for people looking for partners? Instead of coming to TL, they could just stay on your site. Just a thought.
First of all, i listen to your old dailies all the time. #100 and such is a daily i have heard on my iPod a million times. I've learned so much from you since Starcraft 2 came out. Thank You!
I've been using a strategy with nexus first in pvt lately. I'm not sure how to transition out of it, after i get my sick eco up and running. What i have done until now, is a great 9gate all-in that has actually crushed gm's and high masters but i wanna learn more and i wanna go into a macrogame. What do you think my transition should be into the mid-late game? And could you possibly do a daily on Nexus First Transitions or something like that? :D Would be so awesome.
I agree that a PvT, transition into mid-game, daily would be awesome! I usually don't fast expand, but i still end up losing or at least being crippled by mid-game pressure.
Hey, I like the note in the last daily of using hydra's in lategame PvZ if there are no Collossus around! Was having this idea myself, glad you mentioned it too!

You MUST attack at exactly multiples of 4 (or x) minutes of game time. Between attacks you MUST ONLY defend.
Hi! Welcome to Team Liquid!
I did the same thing my first time here, but as a hypocrite I would like to recommend you post in the tl ten commandments thread.
That being said, I like your Funday Monday idea, that would be interesting to see at all levels of play (bronze would actually get better :p, GM would be hilariously constrained :D)
As for me, what of unannounced 1v1 monobattles? You must announce that you will build only one type of unit, but you do NOT say what unit that is. But ultimately I usually like Day[9]'s ideas better- if you understand the game better you will understand the effect of constraints better.
Thanks for the daily Sean! Starcraft is in your debt!
Next week's Funday Monday: Go cannon crazy. Cannon rush, cannon push, warp prism drop probes to cannon, mothership recall probes to cannon. The Great Lord Day[9] commands that next week cannons blot out the sun.
Uhh...cannony cannony cannon.
Cannon.....
Crap...typed it too many times....now it looks like it's spelled wrong. Cannon. DAMMIT
