And remember that it's much less than 6 weeks. The beta closes 2 or 3 weeks before release. Don't think that you have until March 11th to get the portraits. I thought you thought that you had 6 weeks to get level 30. That would be a pretty bad surprise if you found out that you were 2 weeks short by the end of February. :p

[edit] BTW, Blizzard have a ton of Feats of Strength cosmetic rewards throughout all of their games. When I preordered the deluxe edition of HotS I got Kerrigan wings for my Diablo 3 character. I assume this is also unfair and outrageous. If I had gotten the Blizzcon 2011 stream access I would have gotten the panda portrait. This is also unfair too, right?

I have a problem, my xp shows up as negtive. For example in profile i am lvl 9 zerg with minus 400k xp. When i complete a game as zerg i am level 6. Yesterday i was level 9 zerg on both places, i have defenetly played up to level 9 since the reset (from 1-9 in last 3 days)

There was a recent "fix" which effectively reset a lot of people back to level 5. It seems you were one of the affected people and will have to level again. Luckily, it's not as bad as the millions that some people got hit with that were in the 20s for a race.

The drop became visible after playing a game and earning experience. Portrait still shows the old number though.

That sucks. I'm sure my newly 23 Zerg was set back to 5 as well. I'm not sure if I feel confident enough to spend another 5 days to get it back with the possibility of losing it again always right around the corner.

I also only see the level when I win the game. Sometimes I leave because I don't want to waste the time to kill every AI opponent after the XP reduction. I get the XP for that game though.

Yea, I don't know if it is a bug or what but when I leave a game vs. AI, it will never load the score screen. I know I still get xp for the game, just odd I don't see how much, how I did, and how much progress to the next level.

Mine also dropped from Protoss level 9 to level 5. I have -500,000 xp.

For each faction you manage to raise to level 5, you'll receive an exclusive character portrait specific to that race when Heart of the Swarm is released on March 12, 2013. Please note that even though these rewards are still tied to level 30 in the beta, each faction reward will be assigned to your permanent account when Swarm is released if you reach level 5, in the beta, with that faction.

Yea, that is really nice of them. I would have even been happy with level 10 or 15 but 5 is awesome. You can get level 5 on all 3 races in one night vs. the AI and have fun without needing to 'rush, drop, repeat'.

Can anyone with a US account ask if lvl5 with all three races is enough for the feat of strength as well? If I read between the lines it seems that way, but would like to be sure.
