I agree that they should award people for playing the beta, but there should be something for reaching level 90. I wouldn't have the time to do so, but it would still be a nice reward to give people. Actually, anyone who wanted to get into beta could do so. I think that most of the people got in doing amazon preorders, which were free. | ||

fastest time for me is 11mins 42k exp and i screwed up and missed out on 3k exp. i dont accept forfeits from computer just got a 40k 10min game eyy | ||

Most pro players don't really care and some haven't even played HotS yet. Also in terms of regular players, HotS beta probably does not have even half the (current) player base of WoL with level 5 on all portraits. There's still a ton of people playing WoL on 1 region, than on HotS on global play (basically all regions access the same HotS server). I definitely like that it's at level 5. As others said, it took way too long to get level 30 on all 3 races (120+ hours total just within a month, and that's it if you do it the optimal way with AI rather than 1v1s). Not only does it take long, it's really boring. Now I like that I'm playing HotS just to play HotS, rather than grind it out. Edit - There's already an incentive to play HotS over WoL since you'll have a huge edge over players who didn't try out HotS before once the game comes out (therefore more ladder points and higher rankings!). | ||

I don't agree with the advantage thing. There's going to be a day1 balance patch as always. So any strats from beta are probably going to be non optimal at that point. | ||

Sure you will be higher on the ladder in the first month, but that doesn't really matter in 3-4 months. Better people WILL be better than you and the way the metagame is developed, they will be caught up in no time. Mechanics can still be refined in WoL so the advantage for playing for playing WoL would only be for 1-2 months top. | ||

I guess they're feeling generous? | ||
