HotS Down on Mac

Mac users are currently affected by an issue that makes them unable to participate in the HotS beta phase at this point in time, and we of course acknowledge that this is a very frustrating issue for all those Mac users who would like to help us test the game.

We have been working diligently to resolve the issue ever since it was discovered with beta patch 2.0.2. The good news is that we have a fix that we are pursuing, but the bad news is that we in all likelihood will not be able to implement the solution until sometime in January.

Thank you so much for the continued interest in supporting Heart of the Swarm and helping us test for the launch in March. We can't express our appreciation enough.

As I mentioned in my last post on this topic, we have a fix for this and will be pushing it out in the next official patch made to the beta environment. When will that be? I don't have an official date for you as of yet, but it will be soon.

This will require a patch to the client and those are not endeavors we take lightly.

We are not happy that this bug has caused problems for Mac users in regards to our beta, but we are employing the best solution we have at our disposal to solve the matter as quickly and efficiently as we possibly can. You might feel that is simply not be enough effort to prove that we care, but you would be incorrect.

I personally play StarCraft II from a Mac when I'm at home. I know how frustrating this issue can be.
