If you pre-order via battle.net they don't email you or even notify you have BETA access, just add HotS on your account.

However, I downloaded the Beta and logged in and it worked. Not sure if it's instantaneous or not, I tried a few days after.

I would assume those who commented thought they'd receive an email (like me)

I am pretty certain that Gamestop is selling preorders and give you an access code instantly on the receipt. I would call and confirm this in your area, but I know the minimum deposit is $5.

I just pre order on Bnet, try to connect on the beta right after (the beta was already installed ^^) it work instantly

If you pre-order through battle.net then you get it. You don't need the email to activate. Just download the beta client & you have access if you use the log in email that's linked to battle.net.

Asked a couple of friends to pre-order the game via Battle.net so they could get access to the beta. It seems as though they have a copy of the retail game but they didn't receive any beta key. Is it possible that Blizzard sends the key later or do you just have to go ahead and download the game client from the retail version?
